Norway: Complaints of rigged results in the first semifinal of the MGP!

Yesterday (16/1), the first semifinal of MGP 2021, was accompanied by a significant mistake. Specifically, immediately after the draw for the separation of the artists into two duels, the card we saw on our screens had as the winners of the second duel, without having of course the public vote took place, the final winners Blåsemafian feat. Hazel.

Norwegian public broadcaster responded that it was simply a graphic error. However, this was enough for many internet users who were watching the semifinals live at that time, to claim that the results were predetermined from the beginning. For the story Blåsemafian feat. Hazel won the first round of voting against Norwegian rock music legend Jorn.

This is not the first time things have not gone as planned in the MGP. Last year, during the final, the voting system collapsed, and a 20-member committee selected the 4 contestants who advanced to the second phase of the final.

See exactly what happened:

In yesterday’s semifinal we saw both KEiiNO and TIX, who will compete directly in the final, to perform their entries live. In Eurovision Bubble, many may take for granted the victory of KEiiNO at MGP 2021, but the Norwegians do not seem so sure, since the song of TIX is in the No. 3 spotify users in the country, while the song of KEiiNO only at No. 46. On YouTube, however, which is also addressed outside Norway, the KEiiNO Monument is first in views and by far, from the MGP 2021 songs that have been released so far.
