Ireland: Will Brendan Murray represent his country again?

The singer from Galway, Brendan Murray has set a goal to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The former singer of the Hometown band was Ireland’s entry for the 2017 contest with the song “Dying to try” and music industry wants him to be one of the five artists to take part in the country’s national final. Despite Brendan Murray, RTÉ, Ireland’s public broadcaster, revealed another artist to take part in the contest in Dublin, namely Janet Grogan, who took part in the auditions of the X Factor and recently starred in a TV show.

Last year Lesley Roy was internally selected to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Maps” and ended up last in the first semifinal with 20 points:
