Lithuania: Monika Linkytė revealed details of her participation in Liverpool!

Monika Linkytė, the Lithuanian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, has announced that she will be making changes to her stage performance for the competition. While she will be wearing a new outfit, the amber color and motif that were part of her performance in the Lithuanian selection will remain. Monika also shared that she has prepared amber souvenirs for fans as the gemstone is dear to her, having grown up near the sea.

Joining Monika on stage in Liverpool will be backing singers from London, though their identities are yet to be revealed. Monika had previously performed with members of a London-based choir at the London Eurovision Party. The Lithuanian delegation will travel to Liverpool on April 30th.

Monika previously represented Lithuania at Eurovision in Vienna in 2015 alongside Vaidas Baumila.

To support her return to the competition, Lithuanian broadcaster LRT launched the “Pridainuojam Europą” (Singing Europe) initiative, which encourages choirs to submit clips of themselves singing a phrase from her song “Stay.”

Lithuania is scheduled to perform in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2023 on May 11th, and they will take the stage in the 15th position.
