Eurovision 2023: Spain’s First Rehearsal!

Today is the fifth day of rehearsals in Liverpool and the first rehearsals of the BIG 5 countries are going to be held today! Next up on stage for their first rehearsal is Spain and Blanca Paloma with the flamenco song “EaEa”.

Who is Blanca Paloma?

Blanca Paloma Ramos Baeza is a Spanish singer, set designer and costume designer. She was born and raised in Elche, Spain in 1989. She tried to represent Spain last year with her song “Secreto de agua” but she finished 5th at Spain’s National Selection Benidorm Fest. This year, she returned in Benidorm Fest and won the ticket to represent her country to Liverpool. During the preperation Eurovision, Blanca is working on her debut album.

The Rehearsal

Unfortunately this year, accredited journalists don’t get the chance to watch the first and second rehearsals, so we only get the information and content that the organizers officaly release to the public.

The staging is similar to the national final one, with two fringed red semi-circular structures in the centre of the stage, around Blanca Paloma and her five dancers. The outfits are also nearly the same. The LED screen is a combination of black, red and white, while the perofmance becomes more and more dramatic. The charisma that the singer has with her unique voice will leave everyone impressed.
