Azerbaijan: “Eurovision Talks” will be held in Baku

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture is holding a Eurovision-themed conference called Eurovision Talks. Speakers of the conference will be persons who have served the contest, but also stigmatized it with their work.

Speakers at this very interesting conference will be the Greek composer and producer Dimitris Kontopoulos, who has written many hits in the competition. The also Greek Ilias Kokotos, project manager of the so-called Eurovision Dream Team. Israel’s head of delegation Tali Eshkoli, Australian composer Tony Conelissen who wrote Azerbaijan’s entries in 2020 and 2021, as well as Germany’s 2013 entry,  Norway’s head of delegation Stig Karlsen, and former Azerbaijan HoD Isa Malikov.

Azerbaijan after a very strong start to the competition in 2008 and the first years of its presence in it, even managing to win in 2011, have been trying to find their stride in recent years. This year, the country experienced its second elimination.

Eurovision Talks will take place in two weeks.

Will Azerbaijan manage to return to a starring role in the contest?
