The last rehearsal for today is the one of Greece with Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord and her song ‘Die Together’. The first rehearsal received huge acceptance from the fandom being the only entry that climbed in the odds. The artistic approach of the staging director Fokas Evangelinos seems to have left great impressions even though a small snippet was given to the public from Tik Tok. Today, Amanda is coming again on stage for her second rehearsal, hoping to keep the eyes on her and to achieve the best possible result for Greece.
The Second Rehearsal
The song begins in a dark stage and with close shots on Amanda’s face that fade to black. Amanda opens and closes her eyes based on the pauses of the song. Then, the shot opens and we can see Amanda standing up. There are several chairs on stage, which seem to have melted legs.
The tempo of the song is getting stronger and now from above we see the stage turning blue, the color that from now and on dominates Greece’s staging. In the bridge of the song, the camera is close to Amanda while in the leds we see her shadow dancing with a male one.
Towards the end of the song there are general shots and the stage is filled up with lights and shadows around Amanda. Die Together ends as it begins with closing of Amanda’s eyes.

In exactly one month the rehearsals for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest will begin and Eurovisionfun brings you once again news that will literally shake the whole bubble! Fokas’ idea for the staging of Greece’s entry will definitely impress more than ever. So according to our exclusive information, Amanda will be accompanied on stage in Turin by five more women. Both Amanda and the women who will accompany her will be dressed in white tunics and the whole staging will refer to the Erechtheion and the Caryatids. The six people on stage will be in the same order as the Caryatids in the Erechtheion of the Acropolis! As it has already been announced, these tunics will be specially designed by Celia Kritharioti.
It is known that Fokas Evangelinos always tries to put a special touch on the staging performances he is responsible for. This year, while Greece’s song does not feature a Greek element, the Greek element will be given with the stage performance, as happened with the video clip,
However, this is not the only message that the Greek mission wants to send this year. It is known that one of the six Caryatids, which is in the British Museum, has been stolen in the 19th century by Elgin. A permanent request of all Greek governments is the return of all stolen antiquities, something that to this day the British Museum stubbornly refuses.
With simplicity, but with messages to many recipients, always under the creative supervision of Fokas Evangelinos, the staging performance of Greece’s entry this year is expected to stand out and be discussed!

Jans Bors the the head manager of two Czechian entries of Eurovision, at 2018 (Mikolas Jozef – “Lie to Me”) and 2019 (Lake Malawi – “Friend Of A Friend”) while his first involution in Eurovision was at 2016, talked via YouTube about the Balkan entries and gave emphasis to Greece and Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord.
Most specific, he mentioned about Die Together and Amanda:
“Amanda’s live perfomances are just wonderful, perfect singing with such mesmerizing vibe, it’s heartwarming, it’s melancholic! The song has one of the best productions this year and it has a big courage, probably the most courageous spell I’ve heard at Eurovision and that’s why the first third of the song is just her voice with effect but it’s not boring, it’s interesting. I didn’t expect that song from Greece and with the right staging they will do extremly well”
At the end of the video, he talked about the possible scenario of Greece winning this year’s edition:
“The song is top five material and I’m sure it is one of the favourites to win the show. The competition is really hard but with the correct atmosphere and staging Greece can really win, it’s one of the few contenders!”

The Greek representative of Eurovision 2022 was photographed for the OK magazine, giving at the same time a very interesting interview. Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord spoke of course about Die Together which has already made an impression, the story behind the song, her aspirations in view of the upcoming Eurovision, but also the way she manages to be both an artist and a medical student.
For her decision to participate in Eurovision and not with Norway, Amanda, once again clearly states that she is Greek, who just works and lives in Norway.
…other than that, I like that in Greece there is a competition where the candidates can send their songs and the committee decides which one will go to Eurovision. In Norway the competition is more open and I confess that I do not like this type of publicity.
Amanda still can not believe that the ERT committee chose her to represent Greece in Turin, while she reveals that the first people to whom she announced her happiness were her parents, but also her grandmother (101 years old), who lives in Ioannina, Greece.
As also Stefania, Amanda grew up with the dream to represent one day Greece in the competition.
Even though I was dreaming of it, I never thought I would live it. Last year, when I saw Stefania singing for Greece, I thought: “If I had only one year of life, I would like to represent Greece in the competition”!
Nothing worries Amanda, except for doing anything wrong and disappointing for the Greeks who gave her this opportunity and the honor to represent them in such a big competition as Eurovision.
Image text: ”I want to make Greeks proud. It is such a honor to represent my country at this competition”
It was difficult of course not to be asked about the bets that want Greece in such a high position. Amanda prefers not to look at them, as she knows that they change easily. She is currently focused on preparing for her perfomance at the competition. As for what to expect from Fokas now, Amanda simply states that there will be an artistic approach.
For the story of Die Together, Amanda calls the song the expression of absolute love. After the pain she experienced from the breaking up with her previous relationship, the idea of this song was born.
The title of the song may have a negative connotation, but if you listen carefully to the lyrics of the song you will realise that it is the anthem of absolute love.
In the end, Amanda also referred to the special show of ERT, with the former eurostars that we will be broadcasted to the Greek public television.
It is my great pleasure and honor to meet eight Greek eurostars up close. They will give me tips for Eurovision but they will also bring me the atmosphere and the background from their own participations.
More from the full interview of Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord are available in OK magazine, which is released today, Saturday, March 12, together with NEA, a Greek daily newspaper.

“Die Together” is the title of the song with which Amanda is going to represent Greece in Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin!
The song has been written by Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord and her producer Bjorn Helge. The videoclip premiered in Studio 4 for the first time, then uploaded on Ertflix and it will also be available on YouTube and all streaming platforms at 19:00.
Amanda Georgiadis, 24, was born in Oslo but lived the first years of her life in Ioannina, where she visits every summer as her family maintains a home in the area.
At the age of 3, her parents decide to move to the small town of Tenfjord in Norway. At the age of 5 she started taking piano lessons and became an amateur musician, writing her first songs as a teenager. At the age of 18 she began her studies in medicine, while at the same time taking part in various festivals.
She released her first EP, “First impression” under the stage name Amanda Tenfjord, from the city from which she grew up and received excellent reviews. Her second EP includes the song “Then I fell in love” which is a great radio success, remaining for over 20 weeks in the official top 10 radio chart of Norway. In 2020 Netflix includes the song “Troubled Water” in the series “Spinning out”.
Amanda and “Die Together” was selected by the Greek channel in a bunch of more that 40 songs as the one with the biggest expectations in May.
The story behind the video clip
The shooting for the video clip of our participation in Eurovision 2022 took place in beautiful Symi. Director of the video clip, Costas Karydas, who directed our participations in 2020 and 2021.
The change of weather from sunny, cloudy and rainy seems to match both the feeling of the song, but also the story it wants to show through the video clip. Do not forget that Amanda’s song is experiential, since she wrote it after a separation. The well-known model, Nikolas Melachronidis impersonates Amanda’s boyfriend. The shooting took place both outdoors and indoors.

As we can see through the social media of both Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos, at the moment in the leading recording studio in Moscow, with the assistance of one of the most important mechanical sounds in the country of Andrew Konoplev, the final master of the Greek entry is taking place.
Just as it happened with the final production of Last Dance, the Greek participation in this year’s competition will receive its final touches in Moscow, in the recording studio of Andrew Konoplev. Andrew Konoplev has edited Russia’s greatest successes in recent years.
The Greek delegation maintains its optimism, shortly before the official release of the video clip and while the bets bring Greece to the top5.

Through Studio 4 on ERT1, the long-awaited revelation of the name of the artist who will raise the Greek flag in May in Turin took place a while ago. The announcement was made by Greece’s representative at Eurovision 2021, Stefania, live from the Netherlands.
The 24-year-old Greek-Norwegian Amanda Georgiadis, or Amanda Tenfjord as she is artistically known, whom we first presented to you as our possible representative on June 7, 2021, was announced officialy as the Greek represantative in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest which is going to be held in Turin, Italy. On the stage of Pala Alpitour she will perform a ballad written by her in lyrics and music, under the direction of Fokas Evangelinos, while the project manager of the project will be Ilias Kokotos.
ERT’s artistic committee evaluated the proposals of 25 artists and singled out the top five artists, who had private meetings at the ERT’s headquarters with the committee and the management of Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation. After these meetings, where the candidates presented more details (stage appearance, song promotion, video clip designs, etc.), the competent committee considered Amanda’s proposal to be more complete, taking into account first the song, but also the above important factors.
The committee consisted of the following:
Dimitris Papadimitriou, composer – President
Maria Kozakou, Director of the Second Program of the NRA, commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest
Fotis Apergis, director of ERT radio
Peter Adam, music producer
Giannis Petridis, music producer
Konstantinos Bourounis, head of ERT’s youth program
Leonidas Antonopoulos, Journalist & music producer
Amanda’s Proposal
Her proposal includes a song, which as you read in our previous articles, is an inner ballad, written by her, that leads the listener to an explosion of emotions. The song was written after her separation, with a long-term relationship.
It was a painful separation and my feelings were extreme. When I was writing it, of course, I did not have in mind the Eurovision Song Contest, but when the idea came to me to take part in the Greek selection, everyone who listened to this song told me that this would be an ideal participation for both my country and me.
Amanda
The producer and orchestrator of the song is Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter, a Norwegian musician with several important collaborations to his credit.
The feeling caused by Amanda’s melody and interpretation is so intense that I wanted the approach to production to be as abstract as possible. I used a vocoder, something that makes the song very special without losing its sensitivity. The orchestration of the song has been built around Amanda’s voice so that her unique tone is not lost.
Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter
Fokas Evangelinos, who strongly believes in her participation, will take over her stage appearance in Turin, if of course she is selected.
From the first moment I saw Amanda and heard her song, I felt that she has this unique and special thing that the Eurovision contest demands. Amanda herself has a special beauty and a charm that attracts you from the first moment you see her, while her song creates strong emotions that can lead to a very special scene. presence that will make her stand out.
Fokas Evangelinos
The director of the video clip of the song will be Kostas Karydas, the same director who took over Stefania. The successful director gives us a small hint, for the result we will see, in case Amanda is the final choice of ERT.
I find the song excellent and Amanda a girl with very special beauty. The track has a strong introversion and I think that cinematically I have to move in the opposite direction to have a very interesting result. Because I recognize that in the Eurovision Song Contest the ethnic elements in the music of the songs are obsolete, we will try to include the Greek element in the video clip, as we did last year with Stefania.
Kostas Karydas
Project Manager of the whole effort will be Ilias Kokotos, through whom Amanda was approached by ERT.We remind you that Ilias Kokotos, project manager of all Dream Team participations in the competition, was the one who proposed Stefania to ERT in the fall of 2019.
