A few minutes ago, short clips from the rehearsals of the representatives of each state and region of the third American Song Contest qualifying round were released on the American Song Contest’s social media accounts!

American Song Contest: The states that will compete in the 3rd qualifier round!

The third heat of American Song Contest 2022 will include 12 more states and will take place this Monday, April 4. As in the previous qualifier rounds, participants announced their appearance in the third heat through their social media accounts.

The acts that will be compete in the 3rd qualifier round are the following:

  1. Alabama: Ni/Co – “The Difference”

American Song Contest: Second Qualifier Round’s results!

The second qualifier round of American Song Contest just finished with eleven more songs competing for four spots in the semifinals, with the outcome decided by the votes of the judges and the public vote. Oklahoma’s AleXa, Connecticut’s Michael Bolton and Puerto Rico’s Christian Pagán will join Rhode Island’s Hueston from the first qualifier round to the semi-finals, while Kentucky’s Jordan Smith will follow them as he won the second qualifier round’s jury!

The following artists competed in tonight’s second qualifying round:

  2. Montana: Jonah Prill – “Fire It Up
  3. New York: ENISA – “Green Light
  4. Nebraska: Jocelyn – “Never Alone
  5. U.S. Virgin Islands: Cruz Rock – “Celebrando

  7. North Dakota: Chloe Fredericks – “Can’t Make You Love Me

At the beginning of the night, Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson announced that Alexa from Oklahoma, Michael Bolton from Connecticut and Christian Pagán from Puerto Rico won the public’s support in the first qualifier round and will be in the semifinals.

The detailed results of the first qualifier round’s juries were as follows:

Just before the end of the show, the winner of the second qualifier round’s jury was announced and therefore Jordan Smith from Kentucky will be in the semi-finals. Voting for those not selected by the jury will continue for two days until Wednesday. The public vote will determine the other three artists who will make it to the semi-finals. The semi-finalists will be announced each time at the start of next week’s show.

This was the second of a total of five qualifier rounds. You can also follow the contest from Denmark (DR) at 21:00 CET on Tuesdays, Finland (YLE) on Tuesday evenings, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg (Red Bull) on demand, Greece (ERTFLIX), Iceland (RUV), Montenegro (RTCG) at 21:00 CET on Sundays, Norway (NRK) on Saturday nights, Serbia (RTS), Slovenia (RTV SLO) at 22:00 CET on Saturdays and Sweden (SVT)!

American Song Contest 2022: Tonight the second qualifying round!

The American Song Contest, the American version of our favorite Eurovision, continues tonight. At 1:00 a.m. CET, eleven artists from eleven states will compete in the first qualifying round of the American Song Contest.

The American Song Contest 2022 started on Monday, March 21 and will last for 8 weeks, until the big winner is announced on May 9. The competition will be attended by 50 US states, five overseas US acquisitions and the capital, Washington DC.

The competition part will consist of the qualifiers, the semifinals and the grand final. In the grand final, the finalist states will compete for the title of “Best Original Song” of the USA.

Contestants

In tonight’s second qualifier participate:

  1. Kansas: Broderick Jones – “Tell Me”
  2. Kentucky: Jordan Smith – “Sparrow
  3. Maine: King Kyote – “Get Out Alive
  4. Montana: Jonah Prill – “Fire It Up
  5. Montana: Jocelyn – “Never Alone
  6. New York: ENISA – “Green Light
  7. North Dakota: Chloe Fredericks – “Can’t Make You Love Me
  8. Ohio: Macy Gray – “Every Night”
  9. Oregon: courtship. – “Million Dollar Smoothies

A jury of 56 people, one for each of the states, will vote on the songs. The winner of the jury vote will be the first finalist of the semifinal.

The rest of the songs that were not selected by the jury, will be judged by the public. Voting will last two days until Wednesday. The public vote will select three more semi-finalists.

Semifinalists

From the first qualifying round, the representative of Rhode Island, Hueston, directly qualified for the semifinals with the song “Held On Too Long“. Today we will have the announcement of the other semifinalists, who qualified from last Monday’s show.

Two of the biggest names in the American music industry will present the long-awaited American Song Contest. Snoop Dog and Kelly Clarkson will be the presenters of the American Song Contest.

The first qualifier starts at 01:00 CET and you can watch it live on NBC.

American Song Contest: First qualifying round’s result!

The first American Song Contest qualifier round ended a few hours ago, eleven songs competed for four spots in the semifinals, with the outcome decided by the votes of the judges and the public vote. Rhode Island’s representative Hueston qualified by the juries, while the remaining three spots will be decided by the audience.

Tonight’s first qualifier round included:

  1. Minnesota: Yam Haus – “Ready To Go
  2. Oklahoma: AleXa – “Wonderland
  3. Arkansas: Kelsey Lamb – “Never Like This
  4. Indiana: UG skywalkin – “Love For My City
  5. Puerto Rico: Christian Pagán – “LOKO
  6. Connecticut: Michael Bolton – “Beautiful World”
  7. Iowa: Alisabeth Von Presley – “Wonder
  8. Wisconsin: Jake’O – “Feel Your Love
  9. Mississippi: Keyone Starr – “Fire
  10. Wyoming: Ryan Charles – “New Boot Goofin
  11. Rhode Island: Hueston – “Held On Too Long”

Just before the end of the very first show, Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson announced the winner of the jury and therefore the first artist to reach the semi-finals, Hueston from Rhode Island. The televoting for those not selected by the jury will continue for two days until Wednesday. The public vote will determine the three other artists who will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finalists will be announced each time at the start of next week’s show.

The first qualifier round of American Song Contest 2022 will be broadcasted in Greece on March 23rd via the ERTFLIX platform!

A project that until a few years ago seemed utopian, tonight takes on flesh and blood. The American Song Contest, the American version of our favorite Eurovision, starts tonight.

At 1:00 a.m. CET, eleven artists from eleven states will compete in the first qualifying round of the American Song Contest.

The American Song Contest 2022 will start on Monday, March 21 and will last for 8 weeks, until the big winner is announced on May 9. The competition will be attended by 50 US states, five overseas US acquisitions and the capital, Washington DC.
