This is what we’ve been waiting for: Eleni Foureira and Noa Kirel perform “Fuego”!

As we informed you earlier, Eleni Foureira(Cyprus 2018) and Noa Kirel(Israel 2023) took the stage today for the first time together at Yarakon Park in Tel Aviv, on the occasion of the latter’s big concert.

The meeting of those two was explosive, and based on what we’ve seen so far, they indeed managed to set the packed Yarakon Park on “fire”.

No words needed, just enjoy:

Meanwhile, Noa performed her Eurovision entry “Unicorn” as well as many of her hit songs, making the crowd delirious.

Eleni Foureira-Noa Kirel

The connection between the two Eurovision artists is obvious. Eleni Foureira represented Cyprus in 2018, taking the 2nd place, while Noa Kirel represented Israel this year, finishing 3rd. These two women caused pandemonium with their sleek performances on the Eurovision stage, setting the bar even higher for all dance entries.

However, there has been a connection between Eleni and Noa for years. In 2017, Noa Kirel released her big hit “Tikitas“, which is the Hebrew cover of the song “Ti Koitas” by Eleni Foureira. Behind the two versions, as well as other songs of both artists, is the composer Doron Medalie.

I felt sad for the 4 points to Cyprus

Eleni Foureira stated that she felt sad for the 4 points of the Greek jury to Cyprus, as she believed that Andrew Lambrou deserved the 12 points.

I felt sad. It’s a personal business how someone votes. Cyprus deserved the 12 points this year. He was perfect and the song was excellent.

In a question regarding the Greek participation and Victor Vernicos she avoided any answer.

I would do it for Greece

The reporters could not help but ask her about the possibility of a Eurovision return. Eleni Foureira asked that she would be thinking about it, and if she was receiving a proposal for Greece she would do it.

Yeah it would be a pleasure to do it for Greece, it’s my country and I love it. If I have the proposal, I will think about it.

Exclusive: Chanel will not attend MAD VMA 2022!

Chanel Terrero, the artist who brought Spain to the top 3 for the first time since 1995, made an impact across Europe with her dynamic performance. Greece was the only country that its televoting gave 12 to Spain and SloMo is high on the Greek charts ever since. Many people have pointed out online the similarities between Chanel and Eleni Foureira, the Cypriot Eurovision 2018 entrant who gave Cyprus its best result with the pop banger Fuego.

Due to the popularity of SloMo in Greece, eurofans hoped that Chanel will perform in MAD VMA, the biggest annual music awards ceremony in Greece, and collaborate with Eleni. However, we can reveal that this will not happen this year.

Despite the rumors the last weeks about an upcoming collaboration, according to latest information we have Chanel decided not to attend MAD VMA 2022. While we were all excited to see them setting the stage on fire and despite the talks between the production of the event and Chanel’s team, unfortunately we will not see them perform together.

Eleni Foureira reveals: Would she comeback to represent Greece or Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest?

Eleni Foureira was featured at a video on Greek YouTuber Fipster’s YouTube channel. Among others, she discussed the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018, when she came 2nd by representing Cyprus. She stated that she would love it if she won, but everything happens for a reason.

When she was asked, which country she would prefer to represent, would she come back at the contest, Eleni Foureira replied that she’d rather represent Greece.

Well, I would certainly represent Greece, because I have already represented Cyprus in the past and I am really glad that I’ve achieved all that, but in the end I’d go for Greece for the next time!

She didn’t turn down the possibility to represent Albania at some point, where her roots are from, if she was invited to do so and she felt ready to go for it.

If she and the executives of ERT altogether had to choose the representatives of Greece for the following years of Eurovision Song Contest, she said that she would pick Evangelia, that is really unique, Konstantinos Argyros with a nice commercial greek folklore song and Josephine.

Eleni Foureira mentioned her difficult childhood years in Albania, her future professional plans, her personal life, but also her experience with her participation in the Eurovision song contest.

The Eurovision Song Contest is a big drug… When I went, it was mainly to prove to myself that I can do it. I am glad that I made Cyprus and Greece proud. I reached a very good result and if I go again I can do better, but also to destroy everything… I wanted to represent Greece in Eurovision!

I love Cyprus very much, but it was too early to go to Eurovision again!

We remind you that Eleni Foureira and her record company PANIK Records, had responded to the honorary proposal of RIK, that although she would like to be in the contest again, she would prefer to do it in better conditions and not in 2021 with the fear of the pandemic .
