In the Eurovision Song Contest there is the rule according to which all the songs when performed live on the semi-final and final nights must be maximum of three minutes in length. So while the tracks may last longer on music platforms and on the official album, they will need to undergo some processing for their live performance.
One of the countries that usually chooses longer tracks is Italy, where again this year its participation with Marco Mengoni and “Due vite” had to be modified.
Below you can see the lyrical differences between the regular length and the three-minute length of the song on the night of the Grand Final.
🇮🇹 Based on the official lyrics submitted by RAI to the EBU, the #Eurovision version of Marco Mengoni’s “Due vite” has been cut in the first verse and the first chorus, to adhere to the 3-minute rule.

Joker Out, Slovenia’s representatives at Eurovision 2023, were invited on the official Eurovision Channel podcast, and were asked by podcast host Steve Holden what they thought about their stage performance. They gave some insight into what they want to present on the Liverpool stage.
Specifically, Bojan Cvjetićanin, frontman of the band, stated the following:
We are a live band and enjoy playing live music, so that we were excited when we saw that the stage for this year’s contest would have a live audience directly beneath it.
