Loreen: Music video clip of Loreen’s brand new single “Is it Love” is out now! | Watch it here!

A few days after Loreen made her first step, post-Eurovision, by releasing her first single called “Is it Lovefrom her upcoming album, the music video of the song just got released on YouTube!

Loreen says about “Is it Love“:

“Is It Love” was born from a place of seeking clarity, it’s a song describing and contemplating a love that’s so deep but at the same time filled with confusion. It’s about realising that to create a deeper understanding of yourself you need to accept the duality of life, that distortion and clarity goes hand in hand and are equally as important. And to experience the depth of true love, both to the self as well as to others, you have to accept and experience the depth of pain.”

As a leading female diaspora artist, Loreen’s Moroccan Berber roots are embedded in her new cinematic pop sound now more than ever and flits between cultures. All this essence is obvious in the music video as well!

Marcus & Martinus: “Soon we will be back to Greece for a concert, during our European tour!” | Exclusive interview!

Marcus Gunnarsen and Martinus Gunnarsen, the known Norwegian duo of Marcus & Martinus, turned 21 just three days after the third heat of Melodifestivalen 2023, in which they participated. Winners of the first round of voting, they have secured their place in the semi-final show and are also big favorites to win in the final show, on March 11th!

Eurovisionfun is in Stockholm and Marcus & Martinus met us at the Quality Friends Hotel, right next to the arena and Andreas Papayiannakis secured an exclusive interview with them just two days before the grand final! They commented on their number this year, their love for Greece, their new beginning in Sweden, their relationship with the composers of their participation this year as well as the reasons why they preferred Melodifestivalen instead of MGP.

After today’s rehearsal they feel more confident compared to the week of the third heat that took place in Lidköping.

We are very excited, we feel ready, we want to start now, to get on stage and do it for the people!

Marcus & Martinus became widely known to the Norwegian public through “Melodi Grand Prix Junior” in 2012, but they feel that they have changed a lot as artists eleven years later:

We are more experienced and have changed a lot. Since then we have been on stage quite a lot and we hope to be able to show to the people that we have evolved even compared to the last show we did in Sweden.

Going back eleven years, Marcus & Martinus were guests at that year’s MAD VMAs where they performed “Make You Believe In Love”. They could not hide their love for Greece and have added:

If we win this year we will do a promotional tour in Europe right away, if not, after the summer we will start a European tour and we will definitely visit Greece! We love Greece, we love our fans in Greece, they are great!

Last year we spotted them at the after-party of the semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2022, held at the Friends Arena. Since very recently, they are now based musically in Sweden, Stockholm in specific. They commented on their decision:

Stockholm is the capital of music in all of Scandinavia. There are many good musicians, composers, lyricists, producers. It’s amazing for us to work in Stockholm!

Their collaboration with the composers of Air didn’t happen by chance as they have worked with all of them before, especially Joy (“Next To Me“) and Linnea Deb (“One Flight Away“) several years ago.

We knew that if we wanted to make a song for Melodifestivalen we had to work with the best. We have known them for many years, we have good chemistry with them. We are very happy about the song that came out!

When asked if the song was aiming Melodifestivalen they were clear! This song was written to be a fit for Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest:

It only took us four hours to write the song. To some, this may sound like a lot, but for us who write music, is not at all! The day had a great flow and everything went perfectly!

But why did they prefer Melodifestivalen instead of MGP which is the Eurovision selection procedure of the country they were born and raised in? They answered us that everything had to do with the right timing. After their victory in “Masked Singer Sverige” and over the last year they’ve done several things in Sweden:

We know that Melodifestivalen is very important for Sweden and the Swedes, it’s really nice to be part of it, perform at the Mello tour with all those concerts around Sweden and it’s really an honour for us to be part of it.

In their staging and performance in the final show, they do not intend to make many changes except some minor improvements. However, if they are selected on Saturday to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, they will make several changes and promise us that we will see many cool things!

Like most artists, the pandemic has affected them both professionally and personally and Marcus adds:

Both personally and professionally the pandemic affected us a lot! We couldn’t do concerts, get in touch with our fans, we couldn’t release new music because we couldn’t promote it. But at the same time it was also a time for us to feel like normal teenagers. We are from a very small village with about 800 people, we went to our first party at the age of 18 years old, we drank alcohol for the first time when we were about 19 – 19 and a half years old. It affected myself more than Martinus, I wanted to be able to work but all I could do was wait for this to be over!

Of this year’s Melodifestivalen songs, they like “On My Way” by Panetoz which they consider very underrated but has very nice vibes, “Where Did You Go” by Kiana and of course “Tattoo” by Loreen.

THEOZ: “Hopefully you will see me again at Melodifestivalen with an English song!” | Exclusive interview!

The 17-year-old Swedish heartthrob THEOZ, who is an artist, dancer and actor with over 2 million followers from all over the world on social media, debuted last year at Melodifestivalen 2022 by placing seventh. For a second year in a row he hopes to be selected to represent Sweden , with the song ”Mer av Dig” which is one of the favourites to qualify to the final at this weeks semi-final show.

Eurovisionfun is in Stockholm and THEOZ welcomed us at the headquarters of Warner Music Sweden and spoke exclusively to Andreas Papagiannakis, one day before he leaves for Örnsköldsvik to compete at the semi-final show this Saturday March the 4th! He commented on his appearance this year, the prospect of him touring internationally and one of the writers of his song Axel Schylström who also participated at the 4th heat with his song “Gorgeous”.

He is thrilled to be back at the contest and to experience all this adventure again, getting able to do what he loves the most: music.

He has felt the change over the years and after his experience at Melodifestivalen and also mentions:

I feel much more confident both in myself and my music too. I toured throughout Sweden during the summer and that made me feel relaxed and not so nervous anymore when I am on stage.

As for the prospect of him touring internationally, he commented:

It’s one of my biggest dreams to have a tour outside of Sweden, but currently it’s hard, as most of my songs are in Swedish. So maybe in the future, I hope that this dream will come true one day.

Axel Schylström is one of the writers of his 2023 and 2022 entries. THEOZ feels glad and comfortable that he collaborates with Axel again and he adds:

We are very close with Axel and he knows me as a person, so we have a very good connection. I really like to work with him, he has also written me other songs from my disgography, I think we are a good team.

Would there be any changes in his staging in the next show? THEOZ says that most of the time it’s hard to make any changes to a number, even if they are minor and also states:

I hope I can do changes, some minor improvements. I haven’t planned anything yet. But maybe I would do a big change if I advance to the final.

It was very big for him to perform at the 2nd Heat in Linköping, which is his hometown:

I feel like I was a little bit more nervous, because I had to do my best for the crowd in my hometown. But it was very cool. I was just out there living my best life. That time on stage in Linköping was my best time on stage, was so much fun and made me have many emotions to represent my hometown right in my hometown.

He had never performed in Örnsköldsvik before and he feels excited for this first time, next Saturday.

With regards to this year’s Melodifestivalen songs, he loves “Never Give Up” by Maria Sur and of course “Tattoo” by Loreen, he was totally shocked seeing Loreen’s performance on stage.

Loreen: “Euphoria was the moonlight and Tattoo is the sunrise” | Exclusive Interview |

Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen spoke exclusively to Eurovisionfun and Andreas Papagiannakis from Malmö, Sweden about her participation in Melodifestivalen 2023 with the song “Tattoo”!

She declares that she is particularly happy and excited about her return to Melodifestivalen and when asked about re-collaborating with the creators of the winning Euphoria, Loreen said:

“It’s wonderful! They know how to write a song and specifically a song for a dynamic voice. It was also very simple and easy as they sent me the song and it took me 45 minutes to record it to get to feel it!”

Then she revealed to us that they wrote the song exclusively for her! About her return to Melodifestivalen, 6 years after her last appearance with “Statements”, she said the following:

“All humans are constantly evolving! Every creation of mine was a reflection of my then self! In Euphoria I was in a very spiritual period, while in Statements I wanted a strong political tone and I wanted to fight for what I had to! Now I feel like we need to bring some light into our lives!”

“The song is dramatic and obviously has a big climax!”

About her stage presence, Loreen revealed to us:

“Spirituality will definitely be there! Euphoria was the sunset and the moon, while Tattoo is the sunrise!”

“I want the viewer to be able to interpret my appearance as he wants! You will see another side of me”

Sweden: Marcus & Martinus dethrone Loreen! | Melodifestivalen 2023 is a game of three, according to the odds!

We are almost done with all the heats of Melodifestivalen 2023 and it’s just a day after the Fourth Heat, when Marcus & Martinus with the song “Air” won the first voting round and directly qualified to the finals.

The bets

Over the last few days, Maria Sur had managed to surpass Loreen in betting odds, as the latter was the absolute favourite even before Loreen’s song “Tattoo” got published. Loreen managed to overturn the betting odds a day after that happened.

It was always between them two, Marcus and Martinus were third and at a secure distance from the second place, where Maria Sur was. Things however happened quite fast, after the performance of Marcus & Martinus, who seem to have wowed not only the Swedish (and international) public who generously cast their vote by sending her directly in Stockholm and Friends Arena, to compete in the final of March the 11th, but also the betting companies, which now consider them to be the favourite to win and represent Sweden this year.

Loreen has now dropped (once more) to second place with odds starting at 2.58 and reaching 2.3. In third and fourth place we see Maria Sur and Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods respectively. Kiana is predicted to place fifth and Mariette sixth at the moment of writing.

The betting odds depend on many factors and as these factors are subject to changes anytime, the odds can still fluctuate, even last minute.

Let’s see what is going to happen, when we will get the chance to watch the actual shows live, on SVT and SVT Play. Of course at EurovisionFun you will get the chance to be informed about the results as soon as they are announced on TV!

Who do you thing will be selected to represent Sweden in Liverpool, this year?
