Today is the first day of the Eurovision week! We can already hear the “Sound of Music” echoing from Pala Olimpico in Turin and it’s just a few days before we finally know who is actually going to win the 66th Eurovision Song Contest!

The dress rehearsal of the Eurovision 2022 First Semi Final has just started. EurovisionFun will be watching all the shows live at both the on-site press centre in Turin and at the online press centre and we will be covering this rehearsal, commenting on all the performances and describing in detail what is happening during the show.

You will be able to to follow the entire process and get the feeling that you are right at the heart of the contest! This article gets updated in nearly real-time, all you need to do is hit the refresh button on your browser and all the rest is on us!

Eurovision 2022: Croatia’s First Rehearsal!

The second day of rehearsals continues with the Croatia and Mia Dimšić entering the stage of PalaOlimpico for her first technical rehearsal with the song “Guilty Pleasure”.

Who is Mia?

Born in Osijek, Dimšić’s musical career began when rock band Džentlmeni invited her to accompany them gigging in the US and Canada. After the tour had finished, it wasn’t long before the singer started composing her own songs. Mia’s creativity has since led to two chart-topping albums and also she already released her own memoir Cesta Do Sna (The Road to a Dream).

The Rehearsal

Mia’s dress  is a hot pink gown with flamenco ruffles. She is accompanied by three contemporary dancers who provide some lyrical storytelling with lots of movement. It’s different from anything we’ve seen so far in rehearsals, and makes great use of the huge stage.

Croatia: Delegation awaiting approval to include Croatian lyrics in Eurovision 2022!

In an interview with the Croatian channel RTL, Mia Dimšić the country’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, revealed that the Croatian delegation wants to include Croatian lyrics in her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, which she also stated in the exclusive interview she gave us.

However, she said that the Croatian delegation is waiting for approval from RAI and EBU to make that happen.

She also referred to the stage appearance of “Guilty Pleasure”, saying:

We’ve totally changed the stage performance to have elements of surprise.

The staging will have a fairytale theme, while Mia will be joined by two dancers, a men and a woman, with two more people for vocals.

Mia will perform “Guilty Pleasure” in 11th position in the first semi-final on May 10th.

Croatia: Mia Dimšić speaks exclusively at EurovisionFun! (Video)

After her victory in this year’s national final of Croatia, Dora 2022, Mia Dimšić, representative of the Adriatic country, in Eurovision 2022, speaks exclusively to EurovisionFun and Paschalis Barboutis.

What did she gain from her participation in Dora 2022?

My participation in Dora was a great experience. I did not expect to win or launch my career. I had my song ready and my producer and I decided to send it to the festival. And I won!

Mia Dimšić, who is competing in this year’s Eurovision, with the song “Guilty Pleasure”, reveals the message behind her song.

The song is about relationships and how they work. In human choices and how much you are exclusively in a relationship. Of course, there are also the needs for a love affair, but also how much you face someone else, when you are already in a relationship.

Although her song is entirely in English, Mia reveals whether she will include a part in Croatian, in Turin.

I have not decided yet. But I think about it a lot as the fans want me to include some lyrics in Croatian. The Croatian version of the song has received very good reviews, which I did not expect to happen to such an extent. But I will leave it to you for surprise.

How will she appear on the stage in Turin?

My appearance will be a surprise. I can not reveal much, but it will be completely different from Dora, while there will be many colors and choreography. Of course, I will have my guitar with me.

In conclusion, she reveals her favorite songs from this year’s Eurovision, which are the participations of Italy, Sweden, Poland and The Netherlands. As for her favorite songs in the whole history of the contest, they are Loreen’s Euphoria, Alexander Rybak’s Fairytale, The Common Linnets’ Calm After the Storm, while her favorite Croatian entry is that of 2000, Kad zaspu anđeli.

Croatia: Watch the music video of “Guilty Pleasure” in the Croatian version!

Mia Dimšić has filmed the music video for her entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 “Guilty Pleasure” in the Croatian version of the song.

Over the past weekend, Mia Dimšić has filmed the official music video for her song in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Filming for the video took place in Mia’s home city of Osijek. The music video was directed by Artem Dushkin and his production company Lumiere Productions.

Through her personal Instagram account, Mia announces the official release of the video clip of her participation in the Croatian version entitled “NETKO DRUGI”.

She herself stated that this year’s participation in Turin will remain in English but some lyrics will also be incorporated in Croatian!

Croatia: “Guilty Pleasure” with a new staging at Eurovision 2022!

Mia Dimšić has revealed that she has prepared a new stage presentation for her appearance at the Eurovision 2022 Song Contest .

While speaking to Croatian media, Mia Dimšić revealed that her direction for “Guilty Pleasure” will change completely for Turin. Speaking to IN Magazin she confirmed:

We’re doing everything from scratch!

She also stated that she will no longer wear black for her appearance in May.

Traditionally Croatia has opted to keep their performances for Eurovision close to that seen at Dora, only opting to make minor changes.

Mia Dimšić was born on 7th November 1992. She began her singing career in 2014, when she embarked on a tour across the US and Canada with tamburitza band Džentlmeni. She released her first single a year later, and went on to release her debut album “Život nije siv” in 2016, which peaked at number one on the Croatian Albums Chart.

Mia will perform “Guilty Pleasure” in the 2nd half of the first semi-final on May 10th.

Croatia: Full results of Dora 2022!

For yet another year, Croatia chose its representative for Eurovision through their national final, Dora. A few minutes ago and through the official site of Dora the full results of Dora 2022, that took place on Saturday, were published.

Mia Dimšić with the song “Guilty Pleasure” was the big winner after winning both the jury and the public vote.  Especially in the televote, she passed Marko Bošnjak, the artist that came second, by more than 7.000 votes.
