Norway: “Adresse Malmø” returns, on April 5th!

Just a few days ago, the Norwegian public broadcaster announced the return of “Adresse Malmø” for yet another year as a pre-show for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today, it was revealed that the program will premiere on Friday, April 5th.

“Adresse” is a show on Norwegian public television that presents and evaluates the songs participating in this year’s competition. The show has been airing since 1973, and since 2004, it has featured a panel that evaluates the songs.

A judging panel consisting of Eurovision fans and notable personalities will evaluate all the songs competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Each week, approximately eight songs are presented, with the judges rating them from 1 to 12.

The schedule for “Adresse Malmø” is as follows:

  • Show One – Friday, April 5th
  • Show Two – Friday, April 12th
  • Show Three – Friday, April 19th
  • Show Four – Friday, April 5th
  • Show Five – Friday, May 3rd

  • 2023: France – La Zarra – “Evidement” (16th Place)
  • 2022: France – Alvan & Ahez – “Fulenn” (24th Place)
  • 2021: Italy – Måneskin – “Zitti e buoni” (1st Place)
  • 2019: Cyprus – Tamta – “Replay” (13th Place)
  • 2018: Austria – Cesar Sampson – “Nobody But You” (3rd Place)

This year, Norway is represented by Gåte with the song “Ulveham,” and they have been drawn to compete in the second half of the Second Semi-Final. Below, you can watch our Reaction Video.

Iceland: Remo Forrer’s Watergun wins the second episode of Alla leið!

The second episode of the Icelandic preview show, Alla leið, was broadcast last night (15/4). The big winner was Remo Forrer from Switzerland, with Watergun, who continues to impress in all their live performances.

Eight more entries of Eurovision 2023, evaluated by the four judges of Alla leið. At the top of the rating was the song of Switzerland, Watergun.

The results were as follows:

Italy: Marco Mengoni wins fourth Estonian Eurovision Preview Show

Marco Mengoni was the jury’s favourite during the fourth Estonian Preview Show.

Estonian broadcaster is currently having Eurovisiooni laulud 2023, their Eurovision preview show.  Each night a panel of judges comment on the acts participating in Eurovision 2023.  The Estonian panel consist on Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets plus two guest jurors.  For the fourth night OLLIE and Merlyn completed the jury panel.

The following songs were reviewed for the fourth show of Eurovisiooni laulud 2023 last night:

  • Poland – Blanka – “Solo”
  • Moldova – Pasha Parfeni – “Soarele și luna”
  • Greece – Victor Vernicos – “What They Say”
  • Germany – Lord of the Lost – “Blood & Glitter”
  • Georgia – Iru – “Echo”
  • Italy – Marco Mengoni – “Due vite”

In the end, the favourite song of the night was Marco Mengoni with Due Vite.  As a member of the Big 5, Marco Mengoni is performing in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool.

Estonia: ERR starts Eurovision Preview show

ERR will have their Eurovision 2023 preview show.

Eurovisiooni laulud 2023 will be the name of the show.  Every Thursday for the next six weeks Estonian viewers will watch all the Eurovision contestant’s songs.  The preview show will be hosted by Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets.  Kuld and Niinemets also hosted Eesti Laul 2023.  They will also have guests during the six shows reviewing each of the thirty seven songs in competition.

However, it is not known if they will rate the songs during the shows as part of the preview show format.  Several countries will continue the tradition of having preview shows to watch the songs for Eurovision 2023 and rate them:

  • Germany – Songcheck
  • Iceland – Alla leið 2023
  • Norway – Adresse Liverpool

Alika will represent Estonia in Eurovision 2023 with the song “Bridges”.  She is set to perform during the second semi-final in fourth place.

Finland: The results of the third episode of Viisukupla – Eurovisionsbubblan!

On Saturday, 7 May, the third and final episode of Viisukupla – Eurovisionsbubblan took place, where 13 more entries of this year’s Eurovision 2022 were evaluated by the audience and the panel of judges.

The Finnish preview show is presented by Märta Westerlund and Katri Norrlin. Permanent panel members are Eva Frantz and Mikko Silvennoinen while there are two guest judges each week. In this episode we saw BESS and Robin. The audience and the panel of judges could vote for each entry by choosing a colour. Green when they liked it, yellow when the song left them with neutral feelings and red when they didn’t like it.

The results of the judges:

  1. Spain – 4 positive / Israel – 4 positive
  2. Italy – 3 positive, 1 neutral
  3. Greece – 2 positive, 2 neutral / Montenegro – 2 positive, 2 neutral
  4. Moldova – 2 positive, 2 neutral
  5. Iceland – 2 positive, 1 neutral, 1 negative
  6. Ireland – 1 positive, 2 neutral, 1 negative
  7. Croatia – 1 positive, 1 neutral, 2 negative
  8. France – 3 neutral, 1 negative
  9. Malta – 2 neutral, 2 negative / Romania – 2 neutral, 2 negative
  10. Germany – 4 negative
  1. The winners in the judges’ vote were Spain and the Israel with 4/4 positive votes.
  2. Italy received very good reviews, with three positive votes.
  3. Germany received 4 negative votes from the judges.

The results of the public voting:

  1. Italy – 88% positive, 13% neutral, 0% negative
  2. Moldova – 76% positive, 0% neutral, 24% negative
  3. Spain – 62% positive, 35% neutral, 4% negative
  4. France – 50% positive, 29% neutral, 21% negative
  5. Israel – 40% positive, 32% neutral, 28% negative
  6. Romania – 36% positive, 24% neutral, 40% negative
  7. Ireland – 31% positive, 35% neutral, 35% negative
  8. Greece – 30% positive, 48% neutral, 22% negative
  9. Malta – 24% positive, 32% neutral, 44% negative
  10. Germany – 21% positive, 13% neutral, 67% negative
  11. Iceland – 16% positive, 48% neutral, 36% negative

Finland: The results of the second episode of Viisukupla – Eurovisionsbubblan!

On Saturday, 30 April, the second episode of Viisukupla – Eurovisionsbubblan took place, where 13 more entries of this year’s Eurovision 2022 were evaluated by the audience and the panel of judges.

The Finnish preview show is presented by Märta Westerlund and Katri Norrlin. Permanent panel members are Eva Frantz and Mikko Silvennoinen while there are two guest judges each week. In this episode we saw Paul Uotila and Hanna Pakarinen. The audience and the panel of judges could vote for each entry by choosing a colour. Green when they liked it, yellow when the song left them with neutral feelings and red when they didn’t like it.

The results of the judges:

  1. The winners in the judges’ vote were Australia and the United Kingdom with 4/4 positive votes.
  2. Estonia and Serbia received very good reviews, with three positive votes. A good sign for these two countries, since they are participating in the same semi-final as Finland.
  3. No entry received 4 negative votes from the judges.
  4. Last in the jury ranking were Bulgaria and North Macedonia with 3 negative votes.

The results of the public voting:

  1. The winner of the public vote with 87% was Norway.
  2. Austria ended up 2nd with 79%.
  3. Denmark finished last in the public vote as no one said they liked this entry.

Next Saturday, 7 May, the third and final episode of Viisukupla – Eurovisionsbubblan will be released, where the 13 remaining entries of this year will be evaluated.
