Armenia: Rosa Linn has been consistently on the German singles charts for exactly one year with “SNAP”!

A big success for Rosa Linn from Armenia and her participation in Eurovision 2022 with the song “SNAP”. The song has been in the official German Top 100 singles charts for exactly one year. The overwhelming record: It entered the chart on 15 July 2022, peaking at number 8, and has been in the charts for 53 weeks so far. Rossa Linn’s song managed to go platinum with more than 400,000 sales. It is also noteworthy that “SNAP” continues to maintain its position in the charts in Austria and Switzerland.

The above numbers become even more impressive when you realize that Rosa Linn and “SNAP” is one of only four songs that have been consistently on the German singles charts for a year and even managed to stay on them during the difficult Christmas week. In the current German Top 100 singles charts, “SNAP” is at number 86, so it is very likely that Rossa Linn’s journey in the charts is not over yet.

Even before the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, Rosa Linn was still buzzing with her statements as she announced that she was working hard to become the first global superstar from Armenia. We must admit that she has made significant steps towards her goal, and has experienced great success despite her 20th place in the Eurovision 2022 contest. Currently, Rosa Linn is touring the US and Canada with Ed Sheeran, and “SNAP” has gone gold and platinum in many European and North American countries.

Below you can watch Rossa Linn’s performance at the Eurovision 2022 Grand Final:

After her big hit with the song “SNAP”, Rosa Linn has released several singles and recently released her album “Lay Your Hands Upon My Heart”.

Spotify: Snap has surpassed Alexander Rybak’s Fairytale, becoming the 3rd most-streamed Eurovision song of all times!

We have already talked about the fascinating story of Rosa Linn’s Snap, which despite its mediocre success in ESC, is doing great on the streaming platforms. As of today, Snap is not only the most popular Eurovision 2022 song on Spotify, but has also managed to become the 3rd most streamed song of ESC, surpassing Alexander Rybak’s Fairytale.

Snap has managed to muster 218 million streams, a few streams more than the ESC 2009’s winning song, and the former’s run doesn’t seem to be stopping there. The table below illustrates the dynamics of the song, which is now in the 18th position of the Global Spotify Chart, being on said Chart for more than 87 days.

How far do you think Rosa Linn’s Snap can go? Will it manage to become the most-streamed Eurovision song of all times?

Armenia: Listen to the Italian version of “Snap” by Rosa Linn!

A few hours ago, the representative of Armenia in Eurovision 2022, Rosa Linn, realeased a new version of her worldwide hit song “Snap”.

The Armenian entry for Eurovision 2022 ended up in 20th place on the Grand Final, but rose to fame some time later thanks to its success on TikTok and is now one of the most streamed Eurovision songs of all time!

After releasing a slow and high pitch version, this time Rosa Linn released a version of her song in a whole new language! For this version she collaborates with Alfa, an Italian singer, who sings along with her, parts of her song in Italian.

Listen to the Italian version of the song “Snap” by Rosa Linn and Alfa:

“Snap” recently broke a new record of streams by becoming the 6th most streamed Eurovision song of all time leaving Loreen and “Euphoria” behind in 7th place and is only a few million streams away from surpassing the legendary “Waterloo” by ABBA.

Spotify: Snap surpassed Måns Zelmerlöw’s Heroes, continuing its wild run!

We have already reported the fascinating story of Rosa Linn’s Snap, which despite its mediocre success in ESC, is doing great on the streaming platforms. For two days now, Snap is not only the most popular Eurovision 2022 song on Spotify, but has also managed to become the 7th most streamed song of the Contest, surpassing Måns Zelmerlöw’s Heroes.

Today, Snap has managed to muster 147 million streams, 4,5 million more than the ESC 2015’s winning song, and the former’s run doesn’t seem to be stopping there. The table below illustrates the dynamics of the song, which is now in the 18th position of the Global Spotify Chart, being on said Chart for more than 60 days.

Therefore, and despite the admittedly small loss of momentum on the platform (38,607 less streams compared to the previous week), it is almost certain that the Armenia’s song in ESC 2022, is threatening more popular Eurovision songs on Spotify.

And while the two most popular Eurovision songs (Arcade and Zitti e buoni) are considered a rather unattainable goal, the same cannot be said for Soldi, which has 207 million streams, 60 million more than Snap. By rough calculations, and provided that Rosa Linn’s song won’t lose much of its momentum, Snap is likely to surpass Soldi and become the 3rd most popular Eurovision song within the next two months.

Billboard Hot 100

Two weeks ago Snap managed to be placed in the 97th position on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming only the second Eurovision song in the 21st century (after Arcade) to do so. Unfortunately for Rosa Linn, her song’s run on the Hot 100 didn’t last for more than a week. The entrance into Hot 100, as well as its ranking, is dependent on the number of streams through streaming platforms, sales, and airplay in the US.

Worldwide iTunes Song Chart

Despite maintaining momentum on Spotify, Snap appears to be losing ground on iTunes. And while a week ago the song had reached the 7th position on the Worldwide iTunes Song Charts, today it’s ranked 13th, having a slightly downward trend.

The dynamics of TikTok

Snap’s success seems to be related to the even greater singer’s success on TikTok. Prior to the Competition, Rosa Linn had, on her personal TikTok account, 5k followers and 85k likes. Today, her followers amount to 555k and her likes to 9.5 million!

It is not the first time that TikTok has been used as a springboard by Eurovision artists. The most typical example, perhaps, is Duncan Laurence’s “Arcade”, the winning song of ESC 2019, which, after its delayed success on TikTok, has today exceeded 900 mil. streams, becoming the most successful Eurovision song on Spotify.

Thus, despite the (justified) reactions expressed this year by fans, journalists and correspondents of the ESC, the strategic partnership between the EBU and TikTok (with the latter taking on the role of “Official Entertainment Partner” for Eurovision 2022) does not appear to be an one-off collaboration.

How far do you think Rosa Linn’s Snap can go? Will it manage to overtake Soldi on Spotify or will it run out of gas somewhere along the way?

Rosa Linn enters Top 10 of Worldwide Itunes Chart

Rosa Linn continues her success beyond her Eurovision participation.  The song Snap has entered the charts in more than 30 different countries, even outside of Europe.  Moreover, Snap reached the top 10 in the Austrian, Dutch, Swiss, Irish, Swedish and Norwegian charts.  The single was even number 1 in Belgium and in the UK indie charts.

Snap has got more than 100 million Streams on Spotify, a record that only 10 Eurovision songs have so far.  After surpassing the Italian song “Brividi”, Snap became the most streamed song from the Eurovision Song Contest 2022!

Last month Snap achieved another milestone once again when it entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.  This marks the second Eurovision entry in the 21st century and the 12th Eurovision song that have gone this far.  However, the good news for Rosa Linn have not stopped there.

Today Snap entered the Top 10 of the Worldwide iTunes Song Charts, going up five places since last week:

Rosa Linn represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 where she finished in 20th place.  However, as the news show her final result did not have a negative impact on her career.  On the opposite, her participation in Turin gave her enough exposure to further launch her career.

Rosa Linn signed a record deal with Columbia Records, one of the biggest music labels in the world that also features world stars like Adele, BTS or Harry Styles.

We will be looking forward to follow Rosa Linn successful career!

Armenia: Rosa Linn’s Snap on the Billboard’s Hot 100!

She may not have managed to send Eurovision to Yerevan, but there has been one success after another for 22-year-old Rosa Linn and her song “Snap”. Just days after passing “Brividi” in total streams, it has now entered the US Billboard Hot 100 charts at No. 97!

Billboard announces its weekly Hot 100 chart every Monday. With Snap making an appearance at number 97, it is the second time in the 21st century that a Eurovision song has made it onto this chart. The positions in which songs are ranked are based on listenership via digital music services, sales, and radio in the US.

With the arrival of Rosa Linn, the number of songs that have entered the US Billboard’s Hot 100 is 12. These songs are as follows:

  1. Domenico Modugno – “Nel blu dipinto di blu (Volare)” (Italy, 1958) – 1st place
  2. ABBA – “Waterloo” (Sweden, 1974) – 6th place
  3. Mocedades – “Eres tú” (Spain, 1973) – 9th place
  4. Gina G – “Ooh Aah… Just a Little Bit” (United Kingdom, 1996) – 12th place
  5. Brotherhood of Man – “Save Your Kisses for Me” (United Kingdom, 1976) – 27th place
  6. Duncan Laurence – “Arcade” (Netherlands, 2021) – 30th place
  7. The New Seekers – “Beg, Steal or Borrow” (United Kingdom, 1972), 81st place
  8. Ronnie Carroll – “Say Wonderful Things” (United Kingdom, 1963), 91st place
  9. Mary Hopkin – “Knock, Knock Who’s There?” (United Kingdom, 1970), 92nd place
  10. Domenico Modugno – ‘Piove (Ciao, ciao, ciao banbina)’ (Italy, 1959) – 97th place
  11. Rosa Linn “Snap” (Armenia, 2022) – 97th place
  12. Cliff Richard – “Congratulations” (United Kingdom, 1968) – 99th place

We look forward to seeing how much higher Rosa Linn can go!

Stay tuned for all the latest developments regarding Eurovision 2023!

Armenia: “Snap” has officially surpassed “Brividi” and is now the most streamed song of Eurovision 2022!

We can say that it’s something everyone expected and “Snap”, with more than 2 million streams daily, is now the most streamed song of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on Spotify, surpassing 110 million streams.

“Snap” by Rosa Linn, didn’t manage to be high in the scoreboard on the Grand Final, but it managed to travel and get streams throughout the whole world, having a place in the charts of more than 40 countries (including the USA and the United Kingdom). 110 million streams and counting, Armenia’s song for this year’s contest is now the song with the most streams from Eurovision 2022 and the ninth most streamed song in the contest’s history!

The TikTok’s dynamics

The above success seems to be related to the even greater singer’s success on TikTok. Prior to the Competition, Rosa Linn had, on her personal TikTok account, 5k followers and 85k likes; today her followers amount to 509k and her likes to 9 mil.

@rosalinnmusic

It is not the first time that TikTok has been used as a springboard by Eurovision artists. Just a “snap” away from the eighth place of every song in the contest!

It’s just a matter of time before “Snap” is on the eighth place of the list with the most streamed songs of the contest, as “Think About Things”, the song that would represent Iceland in the cancelled 2020 contest, has 119 million streams, around 9 million more streams than “Snap”

Congratulation to Rosa Linn for her huge commercial success!

Armenia 2022: Rosa Linn is the most unexpected “winner” of Eurovision!

Does it matter if Rosa Linn took the 20th place for Armenia in the Eurovision final, collecting only 61 points? Does it matter that her song, “Snap,” did not have any considerable success on streaming platforms before and during ESC? Maybe, it doesn’t. The representative of Armenia seems to be tasting a belated victory, with her song going viral on both Spotify and TikTok!

The “Snapping” of Chanel

Since June 26, Rosa Linn has taken the first place in streams among all year’s Eurovision entries, forcing Chanel, to retreat to the second place. And its run of success did not cease there; “Snap” has consistently been in first place for three consecutive weeks, having amassed more than 22 million streams to date.

The TikTok’s dynamics

The above success seems to be related to the even greater singer’s success on TikTok. Prior to the Competition, Rosa Linn had, on her personal TikTok account, 5k followers and 85k likes; today her followers amount to 133.2k and her likes to 3.1 mil.

@rosalinnmusic

What is striking is that what seems to attract attention is not the original version of the song, but an alternative version of it at a much faster tempo, which is used as a background sound for the videos posted by the users. Acting on that, Rosa Linn released this particular version of “Snap” on Spotify under the title “SNAP – HIGH AND FAST” .

The dominance of Italy in streams

It should be mentioned, for purposes of clarity, that despite “Snap’s” substantial success in recent weeks on Spotify, Armenia’s entry does not overtake in streams other entries in this year’s Eurovision, such as Italy’s “Brividi” (102 mil. streams), Spain’s “SloMo” (40 mil. streams), Sweden’s “Hold me Closer” (33 mil. streams), Ukraine’s “Stefania” (32 mil. streams), and the United Kingdom’s “Space Man” (30 mil. streams) .

What do you think is preferable? To do well in Eurovision or to have your song become a hit?
