Noa Kirel, who a few months ago brought Israel to third place in the Eurovision song contest, released a new version of her entry, the “Hope version”.
For this new unplugged version of Unicorn, she also released a video accompanying the song, in which we see photos of the hostages held by Hamas terrorists, some of the thousands of victims of the terrorist attack, soldiers of the IDF, but also images of pro-Israel demonstrations around the world.
In joy and sorrow we will stand together strong against the world. Because that’s the only way we’ll win!

Noa Kirel was able to give Israel its best placing since its victory back in 2018 with her impressive performance, however, the selection process went on for several months, until they found the song best suited for Noa.
As you were previously informed, the final decision was made between two songs. Of course “Unicorn” was the chosen one, and won third place in this year’s contest, but Noa Kirel’s second choice song was “Deja Vu”.
“Deja Vu” was compose by Jordi, Ron Beaton and Itay Shimoni with two versions being recorded, one in Hebrew and one in English. The one that is now released is the version in Hebrew, with the music video directed by Roman Buchatsky.
Listen to “Deja Vu” by Noa Kirel for Eurovision 2023, in the video below:

New information has been revealed regarding the other potential candidate song of the Israeli representative Noa Kirel, for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The Israeli superstar had to choose between two songs to represent her country in the contest, choosing “Unicorn” where she impressed like no other contestant in the Second Rehearsal but also in the Semi-Final and Final nights, with her dancebreak, ending up in the third place.
Apart from Unicorn, it has been revealed that Noa’s other song is called “Deja Vu“, which was written by Jordi, Ron Beaton and Itay Shimoni. Also, two versions of the song were recorded, one in Hebrew and one in English.
The Hebrew version of “Deja Vu” was planned to be the singer’s next single, however, Noa is collaborating with Ron Beaton on a different single in honor of Pride Month. Deja Vu is expected to be released in July.
The music video for the song will be directed by Roman Buchatsky, who has previously directed the music videos of “Diamonds”, “Bell” and “Thought About That”. It was also revealed that Noa Kirel will perform at Yarkon Park in front of an audience of 30,000 people. The concert is scheduled for September 21st.

It was announced today that Ilanit will announce Israel’s jury score in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
She stated the following:
“I am thrilled to close the cycle of 50 years of Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest with “Ey sham”, with which I represented Israel for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973. I wish dear Noa good luck, I have no doubt that she will do well!”
Ilanit was the first Israeli representative in Eurovision 1973, where she managed to finish in fourth place with the song “Ey sham”. Ey sham, in fact, held for the next 20 years the record for the highest-placed debut for a country. Ilanit returned to Eurovision in 1977 with “Ahava Hi Shir Lishnayim”, finishing eleventh. Finally, she returned for a third time in 1985 with “Balalaika”, but Israel withdrew from the contest that year.
Israel is the fifth country to announce its spokesperson. The other four are:

What if Noa Kirel said that she is not going to perform “Unicorn” before Eurovision? A few hours ago she performed a little part of her song in a concert.
Noa was part of a concert for the Israeli Independence Day, wearing clothes in the colours of the flag of Israel, confusing many fans online, thinking that these are her clothes for Eurovision.
After an explosive show and the cheerings of her fans, Noa performed a small part of her song acapella! You can listen to it in the video below:
Noa Kirel with their song “Unicorn” hopes to bring her country back to the Grand Final and get a top 5 finish! As of now, Israel is placed 8th in the odds for winning the contest and third for qualifying to the final.
Israel is competing in number 9 of the running order of the First Semi-Final of Eurovision 2023, in May 9, 2023.

Noa Kirel, Israel’s representative in Eurovision 2023, gave an interview to the country’s largest magazine, Israel Hayom. Noa reveals what she has set the bar for in the contest, reffers to her competitors and of course Loreen, but also gives us more information about her stage appearance.
My first answer about Eurovision was negative
Israel’s public television apparently had a hard time convincing Noa Kirel to say yes to representing the country in this year’s competition.
The proposal was made very early on, but she was initially negative, since she had never taken part in any competition until now. The ones who convinced her to finally accept this challenge were her father, but also her manager, who were very positive. Before giving her final positive answer, Noa Kirel spoke with her psychologist, who advised her about the impact her participation in Eurovision will have on her life in the coming months.
Unicorn was about to get leaked
Not that it would be strange, since so many of this year’s entries were leaked online before their official release, but as Noa and the Unicorn recounts, it was literally saved at the last minute.
One of the employees of the recording studio, in which she recorded Unicorn, had intercepted the song from the studio. But they discovered him and forced him to delete it from his mobile phone.
The Unicorn’s Choice
Among four songs, Unicorn was chosen by her and her team. Israeli public television gave her complete freedom in choosing the song.
Worked with two teams of creators. One was Jordi, Ron Biton and Itai Shimoni, while the second was Doron Medlie, Mai Sphadia and Yinon Yahel, with whom she finally ended up.
Noa Kirel has revealed that she will not be singing Unicorn live anywhere in public, until her rehearsals in Liverpool.
With changes in Eurovision
What is particularly important is that the version of the song with which she will compete in Liverpool will be slightly different from the one in the official video clip.
She mentions that the song now has a duration of 02:51, while in its final form in the competition it will be 02:55, since there will be some changes in the instrumentation. No extra chorus will be added, but there will be a short break in the middle of the song.
The rest of Noa’s team
Although she has received many proposals from foreign clothing designers, she will trust Israeli creators. In fact, she mentions that she will avoid very shiny clothes, since she doesn’t like them.
She will have five male and female dancers with her, while her director will be Avichai Hacham, a well-known Israeli choreographer and director. You can see a sample of his work below:
The laugh in the last part of the song was something that arose spontaneously in the recording, but she and her collaborators decided to keep it.
I’ll be satisfied with one place in the Top 5
Noa follows the bets, as she wants to know what is happening, while she will feel satisfied if she gets a place in the top 5 of the final standings.
Her “jaw dropped” when she saw Loreen’s performance in the Melodifestivalen final, but she believes it will be very difficult for her to achieve a second victory in the competition.
Her favorite song from this year’s competition is the UK entry, while Finland’s Cha Cha has also caught her eye!

The Swiss representative in Eurovision 2023, Remo Forrer, continues the covers of this year’s contest entries. This time and by popular demand, he performs “Unicorn”, Noa Kirel’s song, live on TikTok.
The official remix for Israel’s entry “Unicorn” has been released.
Music producers Sagi Kariv and Itay Galo were in charge of the official remix. Sagi Kariv has previously worked on the soundtrack for the Tel Aviv Pride. He also made the remix for the Israel Eurovision winner entry “Toy” in 2018.
Itay Galo has previously worked with Noa Kirel making the official remixes of some of her previous singles.
Noa Kirel will represent Israel in Liverpool with her song Unicorn. She is set to perform during the second half of the first semifinal.
