Luxembourg: Laura Thorn in Switzerland for the Eurovision 2025 Postcard Filming!

Luxembourg’s representative for 2025, Laura Thorn, shared on her Instagram that she has arrived in Switzerland! The singer is in Switzerland to film the postcard that will be shown before she performs on the Eurovision stage with “La Poupée Monte Le Son” to represent the country in the competition this upcoming May.

Specifically, Laura Thorn, without revealing too much, mentioned that the postcard was filmed in Switzerland, but not in Basel, in a highly snowy landscape.

For the first time since 2019, the postcards for the competition are being filmed in the host country, unlike the last five years where artists were shown in locations and landmarks of the host country, sent clips from their own country, or were featured alongside previous entries from their country.

The postcards showcase landmarks and attractions of the host country, giving viewers a chance to get to know it a little better. They also serve to maximize the time for stage preparation before each performance. It’s worth noting that postcards were introduced to the competition in 1970 and have evolved significantly since then!

As a reminder, Luxembourg will compete in the second half of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025 on Thursday, May 15.
