Betting Odds: Israel Takes the Lead – Tight Race in the Top 10!

As the anticipation builds for the Eurovision 2025 Semi-Finals Allocation Draw, Eurovisionfun’s much-loved betting analysis column returns to explore the latest predictions. With most entries set to be revealed this February, the buzz is mounting, and bookmakers have already begun speculating on the potential winner of Eurovision 2025. Here’s the latest from the betting scene.

Battle at the Top

A major shake-up at the top of the betting charts has seen Israel soar into first place for the first time this season. The country’s selection of Yuval Raphael, paired with her touching backstory, has caused a significant drop in Israel’s odds, now ranging between 4 and 4.5. The bookmakers are also taking into account Eden Golan’s strong performance last year, where she finished second in the televote in Malmö.

Falling to second place is Belgium, which had previously dominated the betting odds. With four entries yet to be revealed in their Eurosong selection – including one by Mentissa, one of the country’s most prominent artists – Belgium remains a strong contender. Odds for a Belgian victory are between 3 and 5, keeping the country close to Israel.

Sweden now sits in third place. After hosting last year’s contest, Sweden continues to be seen as a powerhouse, with fans and SVT alike hungry for a record-breaking eighth victory. With Måns Zelmerlöw participating in Melodifestivalen, momentum is building for Sweden, with odds hovering between 5 and 6.

In fourth place is Ukraine, whose national final is just two weeks away. While the recent release of their entries caused a slight drop in odds, Ukraine’s impressive track record and strong support from fans solidify their spot near the top. Bookmakers currently offer odds as high as 11 for Ukraine.

Italy rounds out the top five, supported by its strong Eurovision tradition and the much-anticipated lineup of the upcoming Sanremo Festival. Odds for an Italian win range from 8.5 to 13, reflecting continued confidence in their chances.

The Top 10

The United Kingdom comes in sixth. With the selection of their 2025 representative imminent, bookmakers are optimistic, expecting a big name from the UK’s world-famous music industry. Odds for a UK win stand at 17.

In seventh is Germany, showing unexpected strength despite recent underwhelming results. Bolstered by last year’s improved standing in Malmö, Germany appears reinvigorated, with odds matching the UK at 17.

Rounding out the top 10 are Estonia in eighth, France in ninth, and the Netherlands in tenth. These countries are all priced around 20 to 21, with growing momentum and strong strategies evident. Estonia’s “Espresso Macchiato” by Tommy Cash is particularly gaining attention as one to watch.

Greece: From a Tight Race to a Clear Favorite? | Greek National Final Betting Trends

With just ten days remaining until the highly anticipated Greek National Final for Eurovision 2025, speculation is heating up. Betting platforms are offering odds on who will secure the coveted spot to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. Let’s delve into the latest developments and analyze the frontrunners based on current betting trends.

Klavdia Takes the Lead

In the initial days following the release of the twelve competing entries, the race seemed tight between Klavdia and Evangelia. However, Klavdia has surged ahead, establishing herself as the clear favorite. Her entry, “Asteromata” (Stardusted), leads in YouTube views, overcoming Evangelia’s initial advantage, and her betting odds have plummeted dramatically.

Last weekend, Klavdia’s victory was priced at 2.20; now, the odds stand between 1.35 and 1.55 across major betting platforms such as Novibet and Stoiximan. This firmly places her as the front-runner for Greece’s representative in Eurovision 2025.

Evangelia Loses Momentum

Initially tipped as the favorite with her song “Vále”, Evangelia has seen her chances diminish over the past week. Her odds of winning now range between 3.50 and 3.75, offering a tempting prospect for her supporters. However, this marks a significant drop from her initial odds of 1.55–1.60, reflecting a shift in betting dynamics.

Dark Horses and Rising Contenders

While the focus remains on Klavdia and Evangelia, other candidates are vying for a breakthrough:

  • BARBZ, with her track “Sirens”, was considered a strong third contender. However, her odds have soared to 12.00 and 15.00, dimming her chances.
  • One surprise this week comes from the energetic group Dinamiss, whose song “Odyssey” has seen an upward trend. The sisters, previously seventh in rankings, are now closing in on third place, with betting odds dropping to 15.00.
  • Meanwhile, established artists like Konstantinos Christoforou and Kostas Karafotis (“Paradeisos”) and breakout talents like Xannova Xan (“Play It!”) hover in mid-tier positions, their odds reflecting modest expectations.

The National Final Format

The Greek National Final, set to take place on January 30 at the Christmas Theater in Athens, promises to be a spectacular event. Hosted by Eurovision icons Helena Paparizou and Sakis Rouvas, the evening will feature performances from the twelve finalists:

The winner will be decided through a combined voting system:

  • 25% from an international jury,
  • 25% from a domestic jury,
  • 50% from the televoting audience.

Can Klavdia Seal the Deal?

The final days leading up to the show will be crucial. Will Klavdia maintain her momentum and win the ticket to Basel, or could Evangelia or another dark horse stage a comeback?
