Austria: Filming for the “Wasted Love” Music Video Has Begun!
Austria’s representative, JJ (Johannes Pietsch), has started filming the music video for his Eurovision 2025 entry, which will take place in Basel.
As revealed by the singer on Instagram, the production of the “Wasted Love” music video is already underway. The video is directed by Vesely Marek, a Vienna-based filmmaker. The Austrian entry will be officially released in early March.
The 23-year-old Johannes Pietsch, who has roots in both the Philippines and Austria, has already made a significant impact in the world of classical music.
The song was selected from Austria’s first-ever songwriting camp dedicated to creating songs for Eurovision. Austria’s representative was chosen through an internal selection process without a national final or public voting. Instead, the decision was made by three panels: a national and international jury of 30 music experts, a 30-member Eurovision fan panel from five fan clubs, and the ORF Eurovision editorial team.
