Latvia: Miks Dukurs has earned a spot in the final of Supernova 2022!

Latvian broadcaster LTV has announced that Miks Dukurs has qualified as a wildcard and will compete in the Supernova 2022 final, following an evaluation by the organization which found out that the artist’s performance in the semifinal was affected by technical issues.

Members of the Supernova and LTV jury evaluated the recording of Miks’s appearance and found that the technical fault in question had a significant effect on the sound quality.

Miks Dukurs became the eleventh finalist in Superonova 2022 and will be competing with the other ten artists for the ticket to Eurovision 2022:

  2. Linda Rušeniece – “Pay My Own Bills
  3. Bermudu Divstūris – “Bad
  4. Miks Galvanovskis – “I’m Just a Sinner
  5. Bujāns – “He, She, You & Me
  6. Elīna Gluzunova – “Es pabiju tur
  7. Citi Zēni – “Eat Your Salad
  8. Inspo – “A Happy Place
  9. Mēs Jūs Mīlam – “Rich Itch
  10. Aminata – “I’m Letting You Go“
  11. Miks Dukurs –“First Love“

LTV also announced that The Roop and Uku Suviste will perform in the final of the latvian selection. The selection of both last year’s representatives of Lithuania and Estonia to perform at the Supernova final has been made symbolically, as on Saturday the other two Baltic countries, Lithuania and Estonia, are also choosing their representative in addition to Latvia.

The heads of the Latvian broadcaster have also clarified that the viewers will have the right to vote for the songs of their choice as many times as they want. We remind you that the final result will be determined 50% by the Latvian viewers and 50% by the jury that will be composed of native and non-native professionals of the music industry.
