Sweden: Second semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2022 tonight!

Melodifestivalen 2022: act two! Second semifinal today for the selection process of Sweden’s participation in Eurovision 2022. As is known, five semifinals and the grand final will keep us company until March 12, when we will have the official selection of Sweden’s representative in Eurovision 2022.

In tonight’s second semifinal, seven entries claim the two tickets to the final, while two more entries will have the chance to compete in the fifth semifinal on March 5th.

The finalists

Two artists secured their presence last Saturday in the grand final of Melodifestivalen 2022. These artists are:

• Cornelia Jacobs – Hold Me Closer
• Robin Bengtsson – Innocent Love

The contestants

The artists taking part in tonight’s semi final are the following:

1. LIAMOO – “Bluffin” 
2. Niello & Lisa Ajax – “Tror du att jag bryr mig”
3. Samira Manners – “I Want To Be Loved” 
4. Alvaro Estella – “Suave“ 
5. Browsing Collection – “Face in the Crowd” 
6. John Lundvik – “Änglavakt” 
7. Tone Sekelius – “My Way” 

Oscar Zia will be the presenter of all six shows of Melodifestivalen 2022.

Tonight’s second semifinal, like all other shows, will be held in Stockholm due to the outbreak of the Omicron mutation in Sweden. The venue for the second semi-final of Melodifestivalen is the Avicii Arena, better known to Eurofans as the Globe Arena that hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 and 2016.
