Portugal: The results of the first semifinal of Festival da Canção 2022!

The first of the two overall semifinals of Festival da Canção 2022, from which the portuguese representative for Eurovision 2022 will be decided, has been successfully completed.

Presenters of the evening were Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel, while the members of the jury which determined 50% of the results were the following:

• Dulce Pontes (Representative of Portugal at Eurovision 1991)
• Dino D’Santiago (Composer at the Festival da Canção 2020)
• Surma (Finalist of the Festival da Canção 2019)
• Teresa Salgueiro (Singer)
• Pedro Granger (Presenter of the press conference and opening ceremony at Eurovision 2018)
• Miguel Cadete (Music critic)
• Tatanka (Lead singer of The Black Mamba, representatives of Portugal at Eurovision 2021)

The candidate songs

In total, 10 artists claimed the five tickets leading to the final of Festival da Canção 2022.

The four qualifiers were selected 50% by the jury and 50% by the television audience. The exact ranking of the artists by both the jury and the public was not announced at the end of the night. The detailed results will be made public at the end of the festival.

The five artists who qualified for the final of Festival da Canção 2022 are the following:

• Aurea – Why?
• FF – Como É Bom Esperar Alguém
• Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
• MARO – Saudade, saudade
