Belgium: Over 1,000 recordings were submitted for Mustii’s song!
Last week Mustii, the Belgian representative for Eurovision 2024, asked the fans of the contest to join the choir that will record his song’s last chorus .
Over a thousand recordings were submitted, according to Le Soir newspaper. People who made the decision to deliver their recordings also consented to give up their voice and image rights.
The processing of the recordings is the next step of the procedure. Producer Tobie Speleman is in charge of this project.
Laurent Walschot, Mustii’s manager, discussed the details of working on the song’s final version, stating that it will be released around the middle of February.
“He has a few days left, expected to wrap up by Monday. The process is straightforward—he’s using a base recorded with the initial choir, incorporating it into five existing versions of the song. The new voices will seamlessly merge into a single file, discarding anything unusable. Even if there are instances of off-key singing, it won’t be noticeable. The final compilation will then be sent to the mixer, Dan Grech-Marguerat, renowned for his work with Lana Del Rey, Keane, and Moby. The public can anticipate the unveiling of the result around mid-February.”
Reports indicate that Mustii’s song stays true to his well-known sound, fusing rock and new wave with pop and dark elements.
The lyrics of the clip that fans were asked to sing were as follows:
I GOT A SOUL ON FIRE
I’M GONNA MAKE MOVES TONIGHT
I GOT A SOUL ON FIRE
I’M GONNA RAISE ROOFS TONIGHT
