Luxembourg: A different performance for Malmö!
Back in January, Tali won Luxembourg Song Contest, the Duchy’s national selection for Eurovision 2024 with her entry “Fighter“. “Fighter” marks the return of the country in Eurovision following thirty-years of absence.
However, Luxembourg Song Contest’s winning entry “Fighter” will not remain the same for the Eurovision stage and will undergo changes in all aspects.
As Tali mentioned in “Tageblatt“, “Fighter’s” performance will change for Malmö:
Everything is going to change, which is really exciting. The wardrobe is changed, as is the staging. The basic concept remains the same, there will still be dancers, it will still be powerful, but other than that it won’t be the same performance. I can’t really reveal much yet, but there will also be changes in the production of the actual song. We will re-release the song to make it even better. However, the old version remains.
A revamp for “Fighter“
As Tali confirmed two weeks ago, her Eurovision entry will go undergo a revamp. In fact, she shared on her personal Instagram account a snippet of her in the studio, where you can actually hear a small part of the revamped version.
A top ten finish is Tali’s goal
Considering the big return of Luxembourg in Eurovision, the expectations are high for the Duchy’s delegation. Certainly, the pressure is high for Tali and her team and a realistic goal of achieving a top ten result would be essential.
I really want Luxembourg to make it to the final. But it will be a tough semi-final. The best performance will qualify and I hope mine will be there. If I reach the final, I would of course be very happy. If we get into the top 15 or even top 10 that would be great. I’m optimistic, but I’m also a realist. I’ll just do my best and see what happens.
