Eurovision 2025: Almost half of the Swiss population doesn’t want the Contest to take place in their country!

Despite the country’s victory in the Contest, according to a survey conducted by a local newspaper, almost half of the Swiss population is not positive about the hosting of Eurovision Song Contest in their country.

According to the Swiss newspaper, Blick, in a sample of 25,000 residents49% were completely or almost negative with the hosting of the Contest, while 46% were in favor of the hosting. The remaining 5% still have no opinion.

The research also showed that the support of the hosting is higher among people with a higher level of education and with left-wing political views, compared to other groups of the population. On the other hand, 74% of the supporters of the right party SVP, are against the hosting of the Competition.

According to Blik, this could all have to do with the fact that Nemo identifies as a non-binary person and uses they/them pronouns. Their victory on one of the biggest stages in Europe sparked a debate in Switzerland about whether they should introduce a third suit.

Switzerland has almost 9 Million people and in one Survey maded by a Newspaper that its a tabloide with dramas, crimes, scandals etc… and less than 12.000 said no to ESC… and that represents one all country?
SVP its one euroceptic, nacionalist and conservative party from the right and not from the left, so nothing new that they are against ESC, special against the gender theme!
