Montenegro: Announcement on Eurovision participation to take place tomorrow!

RTCG, the public broadcaster of Montenegro, will eventually announce its Eurovision representative for 2025, tomorrow in the broadcaster’s morning show!

After Montesong took place about a week ago, the festive atmosphere of Montenegro’s return to the contest, quickly came to an end, after discovering that NeonoeN, the winners of the national final, had performed their song “Clickbait”, way before the deadline of September 1st. Thus, after a lot of speculations that wanted NeonoeN disqualified, they decided to withdraw on their own from representing Montenegro in Eurovision.

This left the public broadcaster, with the task of selecting a new representative. It now seems that the discussions have come to an end, with a new representative being selected!

The announcement will be made tomorrow, at RTCG’s morning show “Dobro Jutro Crna Gora” on TVCG1 at 7:00 CET.

Although there is no detail on how the new representative was selected, the clear favourites are the following:

  • Baryak with the song “Dva Srca”, who were the winners of the televote in Montesong, namely the favourite of the Montenegrin audience
  • and Nina Žižić with the song “Dobrodošli”, the fan-favourite who won the second place in the national final

It’s also worth mentioning that a few people believe that the small Balkan country will withdraw from the contest. However this doesn’t seem so possible.

We’ll have to wait just a few more hours to officially have (for the second time) the first song of Eurovision Song Contest 2025! Who do you think it will be?

Stay tuned on Eurovisionfun for all the news regarding the Montenegrin participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, in Basel!
