Italy: A preview into the songs of Sanremo 2025!
The excitement builds high as we are only three weeks apart from the 75th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival. Thirty-four artists will compete for the Golden Lion prize and the chance to represent Italy in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
As Amadeus left his spot as the Artistic Director of the Festival and will be succeeded by Carlo Conti, who returns after eight years, the interest is high on and we are all curious to see how will the change of the artistic direction reflect on the music direction the festival will follow.
The thirty-four competing songs will be first heard on the stage of Teatro Ariston and remain undisclosed. Only the press had the opportunity to listen to a preview on the songs and we have officially the first information on what to expect from Italy’s biggest music festival.

Italian representation in Eurovision 2025
If any of the 24 competitors (along with their respective record labels) want to compete in Eurovision 2025, they must complete a special form by the beginning of the festival’s final night on Saturday, February 15.
If the Sanremo 2025 winner has previously signed the interest form, he will be automatically considered Italy’s representative in the Eurovision 2025. Should he decide not to compete in Eurovision 2025, the festival’s organizing committee will select an artist from among those who have signed the interest form based on its own standards, which may or may not include the final score ranking.
Although originally scheduled from February 4 to February 8, eventually the festival was postponed, a week later. Therefore, it will take place from February 11 to February 15 in the small Ligurian town.
The winner of Sanremo’s Music Festival in 2024 was the debutant Angelina Mango with her song “La Noia“, who ultimately gained the right to represent Italy in Eurovision 2024, placing seventh in the Grand Final.
