Portugal: Festival da Canção 2025 songs released!
Already in early November, Portugal’s public broadcaster released the names of the composers taking part in Festival da Canção 2025, the country’s national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025!
Moments ago, RTP released the 20 songs that will compete to win Portugal’s representation in Eurovision 2025, as well as the names of the singers!

Semi-Final 1 (February 22)

Festival da Canção 2025
Festival da Canção 2025 will follow its usual format, with two semi-finals and a Grand Final. The dates of the festival are the following:
- Semi-Final 1: February 22
- Semi-Final 2: March 1
- Grand Final: March 8
The voting system is not known yet, but it is expected to follow the process of recent years. In this case, six entries will qualify from each of the two semi-finals, five from the combined public and jury vote, and one more, exclusively from the public vote.
Thus, twelve entries will compete in the Final and the representative of Portugal will be selected by the public vote and the jury, at a rate of 50% each.
The previous winner of Festival da Canção and Portugal’s representative in Eurovision 2024 was iolanda with her song “Grito”, which ended up in the 10th place of the Grand Final:
