San Marino’s television network, SMRTV, continues the casting and selection phase for Una Voce Per San Marino 2025, which will take place on March 8th and will select the country’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

As revealed on the contest’s website, the auditions will include Serafín Zubiri, who represented Spain in Eurovision in 1992 and 2000. The 60-year-old singer represented Spain about 33 years ago, placing 14th with 37 points with the song “Todo Esto Es La Música“. Eight years later, he represented Spain again in Eurovision 2000 with the song “Colgado de un sueño” placing 18th with 18 points. The audition will take place online on January 23rd at 11:50 CET.

Una Voce Per San Marino 2025

The San Marino Song Contest 2025 will be held in three phases. In the Auditions stage, over 200 applicants will be assessed, with 80 artists progressing to the Semi-Finals. The semi-finals will consist of six shows – four regular semi-finals, a special semi-final for local artists, and a second chance semi-final, from which 11 finalists will emerge.

The final of the San Marino Song Contest, scheduled for March 8th, will include changes compared to the current format. The artistic director, Massimo Bonelli, has also hinted at significant transparency in the voting procedures.

If Serafín wins the San Marino selection, he will be the second Spanish artist to represent the country in Eurovision, following the Spanish band Megara, which represented San Marino in 2024 but did not qualify for the final.
