During their appearance on the Azerbaijani Public Television show Sabahın xeyir, Azərbaycan, the members of Mamagama and Azerbaijan’s Head of Delegation, Nurlana Jafarova, shared details about their preparations for Eurovision 2025.
The group stated that they are currently fully focused on rehearsals. They revealed that their music video was filmed in just one day, with no location changes. The production team was satisfied with the direction, while the Mamagama members also took on acting roles for the video.
The editing process is currently underway, and the video is expected to be released in February. While not officially confirmed, their statements suggest that the twins TuralTuranX may have participated in the filming, as Jafarova mentioned that they played a key role in Mamagama’s selection and that this will become evident soon.
Nurlana Jafarova highlighted that Mamagama themselves wrote and composed Azerbaijan’s Eurovision entry, expressing confidence that once the song is revealed, trust in the group will grow. She also stated that their main goal is to break Azerbaijan’s streak of non-qualification and return to the Grand Final.
Additionally, she revealed that discussions are ongoing regarding a promotional tour in Europe, with plans for Mamagama to share the stage with a world-famous music group.
The band also expressed their excitement for Ukraine’s national selection winners, Ziferblat, stating that they have maintained a long-term friendship and are eager to meet them in Basel.
Mamagama is a music group from Azerbaijan known among Eurovision fans for their participation in the 2022 Kënga Magjike festival, where they won the Best International New Artist award while finishing fourth overall. In 2023, they were among the top five candidates to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision. Their music blends modern sounds with traditional elements, appealing to a wide audience.
Azerbaijan’s 2024 Eurovision representatives, Fahree and Ilkin Dovlatov, competed with “Özünlə Apar”, but failed to qualify for the Grand Final:
