Germany: The Chefsache ESC 2025 Qualifiers Conclude Tonight!
The journey to find Germany’s representative for Eurovision 2025 continues tonight with the second qualifying round of Chefsache ESC 2025! ✨
With high hopes and big ambitions, German broadcaster NDR has once again opted for a national final to select the country’s Eurovision act. However, this year’s Chefsache ESC 2025 introduces some exciting new twists compared to past selection formats.
At the helm of this ambitious project is Stefan Raab, a Eurovision legend who has left his mark on the contest with iconic entries like “Guildo hat euch lieb!” (1998) and “Satellite” (2010).
The Chefsache ESC 2025 Schedule
The competition consists of:
- 1st Qualifier: 14 February (Completed)
- 2nd Qualifier: 15 February (Tonight)
- Semi-Final: 22 February
- Grand Final: 1 March
All qualifiers and the semi-final will air on RTL, while the grand final will be broadcast on Das Erste.
How the Competition Works
- From each qualifier, seven acts advance to the semi-final.
- The jury decides who moves forward during the qualifiers and semi-final.
- In the grand final, it’s entirely up to the public vote to choose Germany’s Eurovision 2025 act.
Meet the Jury
The core jury panel features three familiar faces:
- Stefan Raab: Eurovision mastermind who brought Lena to victory in 2010.
- Yvonne Catterfeld: Singer and former Unser Star für Oslo juror.
- Elton: TV presenter and Germany’s Eurovision spokesperson in 2023.
Additionally, each qualifying round includes special guest jurors:
- Max Mutzke (Germany 2004) for Qualifier 1.
- Johannes Oerding for Qualifier 2 (tonight!).

Last night, seven artists secured their spot in the semi-final. While the exact names have yet to be officially confirmed, these acts impressed both the jury and the viewers with their original songs and creative covers.
