Italy Decides! The Sanremo 2025 Winner — and Eurovision Representative — Will Be Chosen Tonight!
All good things must come to an end — and tonight, the curtain falls on the 75th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival with the much-anticipated Serata Finale! Live from the iconic Teatro Ariston, Italy will crown its winner and select its representative for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place this May in Basel, Switzerland.
For weeks, Europe’s eyes have been on Sanremo 2025, and tonight promises to deliver unforgettable performances, emotional moments, and, of course, Italy’s next Eurovision star.
The Show: What to Expect
Leading the evening is Carlo Conti, who returns as host and artistic director for the third time, stepping into the big shoes of Amadeus, who left an indelible mark on the festival during his five-year tenure.
Conti won’t be alone on stage tonight — he’ll be joined by co-hosts Alessia Marcuzzi and Alessandro Cattelan (familiar to Eurovision fans as one of the hosts of Eurovision 2022 in Turin).
The evening will also feature appearances from special guests like:
- Gabry Ponte
- Vanessa Scalera
- Alberto Angela
- ⚽️ Edoardo Bove
Additionally, Antonello Venditti will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, while rapper Tedua will perform on the Suzuki Stage.
️ The Voting Process
The Sanremo 2025 final will unfold in two stages:
-
Round 1: All 29 finalists will perform their entries for the third and final time. During this round, only the public will vote.
-
Round 2 (Superfinal): Once the initial votes are tallied, the Top 5 acts will advance to the Superfinal. At this stage, the winner will be determined through a combined vote:
- 34% Public Vote
- 33% Press Jury
- 33% Radio Jury
The artist who comes out on top will have the honor of representing Italy at Eurovision 2025 — unless they decline, in which case RAI will select the representative.
