Sweden: The general rehearsal of the Fourth Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025!
Tomorrow, the fourth semi-final of Melodifestivalen is set to take place at Malmö Arena.
Until then, Eurovisionfun, through virtual accreditation, will be watching and covering today’s general rehearsal, describing in detail what happens during the show so that you can also follow the entire process.
The show:
- Andreas Lundstedt – “Vicious”
Andreas Lundstedt kicked off the show with “Vicious”, bringing a powerful and uplifting dance-pop track to the stage. The performer seemed to enjoy every moment, dancing throughout most of his performance, while the dancers around him added energy and intensity, filling the stage with movement. The staging was based on a bold color palette, with black and red dominating, enhancing the dynamic feel of the performance. The performer didn’t seem to be nervous, though vocally, he was average.
- Ella Tiritiello – “Bara du är där”
The second rehearsal belonged to Ella Tiritiello, who delivered a powerful and modern ballad titled “Bara du är där” in Swedish language. Her staging had a dreamy, fairytale-like aesthetic, with shades of purple and pink dominating the visuals. Throughout her performance, the singer stood on an elevated circular prop, adding a unique and enchanting touch to the overall presentation. She seemed to feel comfortable on stage.
- Tennessee Tears – “Yours”
The next performance comes from the first group of the night, Tennessee Tears, who performed the song “Yours”. We heard a pleasant track that blends pop with country elements. The sound is enjoyable, the artists seem to be having fun and the vocals are on point but overall, there isn’t anything particularly special or innovative on stage, despite the powerful LED lights in strong golden and yellow hues.
- KaJ –“Bara bada bastu”
KaJ delivered a unique performance with theatrical and intense interpretations. The song is quite distinct, blending various styles, like folk and rap, with the accordion sound being the central element. The overall stage presence resembled the setting of a sauna, with dancers in the background wearing towels and hats. The three performers seemed to enjoy themselves on stage, and vocally, they were quite good.
- AmenA – “Do Good Be Better”
AmenA performed a distinctive, dynamic ballad with modern elements. She was alone on stage, surrounded by unique LED purple elements that later turned blue, forming a wire-like shape around her, while performing the song “Do Good Be Better”. Vocally, I’m not sure if she gave 100% of her potential, and I believe the fact that she was alone on stage made her a bit nervous.
- Måns Zelmerlöw – “Revolution”
Last but definitely not least, the highly anticipated, already Eurovision winner, Måns Zelmerlöw, performed the song “Revolution”. Staying true to his familiar musical style, the singer presented a modern, dynamic pop track with the essential epic elements that make it stand out from the rest. As for the staging, words are hardly enough. We witnessed an incredibly polished performance that resembled a music video, with a unique prop that looked like a cave, from which Måns emerged at the beginning, and striking lights in black and white. Towards the end, white confetti flooded the stage alongside the lights. Vocally, we heard a flawless performance.
A prediction:
Personally, I believe that Måns Zelmerlöw with the song “Revolution” is one of the big favorites and will easily advance to the Melodifestivalen final. The next performance that I liked and believe deserves to qualify for the final is kaJ.
