Sweden: The results of the fourth Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025!
Moments ago, the fourth Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025 concluded, with two entries advancing directly to the grand final, while one more will move on to the next heat for another chance to secure the golden ticket to the final.
What’s changing this year?
Changes to the format were announced on 22 August 2024. A total of 30 entries will take part in the competition across five heats. Each heat consists of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final. Unlike in the previous edition, only the third-placing song will proceed to a final qualification round at the end of the fifth heat, which will now feature five songs instead of ten. The top two songs in the final qualification will then progress to the final, which will comprise 12 songs. The winner of the final will be determined by the usual 50/50 combination of votes from the public and an international jury.
FOURTH HEAT
The contestants:
- Andreas Lundstedt – “Vicious”
- Ella Tiritiello – “Bara du är där”
- Tennessee Tears – “Yours”
- KaJ –“Bara bada bastu”
- AmenA – “Do Good Be Better”
- Måns Zelmerlöw – “Revolution”
The performances:
- Andreas Lundstedt – “Vicious”

- Ella Tiritiello – “Bara du är där”
- Tennessee Tears – “Yours”
The next performance came from the first group of the night, Tennessee Tears, who performed the song “Yours”. We heard a pleasant track that blends pop with country elements. Τhey delivered strong vocals throughout the performance, the sound was enjoyable and the artists seemed to having fun on stage, but overall, there isn’t anything particularly special or innovative, despite the powerful LED lights in strong golden and yellow hues.
- KaJ –“Bara bada bastu”
KaJ delivered a unique performance with theatrical and intense interpretations. The song is quite distinct, blending various styles, like folk and rap, with the accordion sound being the central element. The overall stage presence was a little bit odd, but funny and well-crafted, mostly resembled the setting of a sauna, with dancers in the background wearing towels and hats. The three performers seemed to enjoy themselves on stage, and vocally, they were quite good. It’s an entry I didn’t expect from Sweden, and pleasantly surprised me, as the sound incorporates strong Balkan elements, contrasting with the usual Nordic influences.
- AmenA – “Do Good Be Better”
AmenA performed a distinctive, dynamic ballad with modern elements. She was alone on stage, surrounded by unique LED purple elements that later turned blue, forming a wire-like shape around her, while performing the song “Do Good Be Better”. Vocally, I’m not sure if she is ready for the Eurovision. Addicionally, I believe that, the fact that she was alone on stage made her a bit nervous and the whole result was a little bit awkward. Despite that, she seemed a really talented artist.
- Måns Zelmerlöw – “Revolution”
Last but certainly not least, we witnessed the highly anticipated performance of the night’s biggest favorite—and the overall frontrunner of this year’s Melodifestivalen—none other than the Eurovision winner himself, Måns Zelmerlöw. He performed the song “Revolution”, staying true to his familiar musical style, the singer presented a modern, dynamic pop track with the essential epic elements that make it stand out from the rest. As for the staging, words are hardly enough. We witnessed an impeccably polished performance that felt like a live music video. The staging featured a unique cave-like prop from which Måns emerged at the beginning, complemented by striking black-and-white lighting. As the performance reached its climax, white confetti rained down, enhancing the visual spectacle. Vocally, he delivered a flawless performance, as expected.
