Georgia: Renowned songwriters submitted their songs for Nutsa Buzaladze! | EXCLUSIVE
The world-famous Nutsa Buzaladze will represent Georgia in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Malmö in May, as revealed a few days ago by the country’s public broadcaster, GPB.
The GPB launched a submission platform a few hours after Nutsa Buzaladze was announced as Georgia’s representative at Eurovision 2024. Through this platform, interested musicians can submit their proposals, and the most suitable one will ultimately be chosen to represent the country at the contest.
The deadline for submissions is tomorrow. However, additional information on the selection procedure for the song that Nutsa Buzaladze will perform in Malmö in May of next year has not yet been revealed. The most likely scenario is that the top submissions will participate in a focus group where the song will ultimately be chosen.
According to our exclusive information, some well-known composers have already shown interest. Many prominent musicians, including some that have previously participated in Eurovision or national finals, mainly in Northern Europe, have sent in proposals. Their submissions contain a variety of intriguing songs, including dance tracks. Furthermore, Nutsa Buzaladze has disclosed her preference openly, saying that she wants to make people dance.
Since Georgia hasn’t been to the grand final of Eurovision since 2016, the public’s hopes have increased upon learning that Nutsa Buzaladze will represent the country in 2024. Furthermore, in the past 24 hours, the country has moved up 25 spots in the betting odds, currently holding the 10th spot.

The international songstress from Tbilisi has participated in (and won) many different song contests over her career, including a top 12 finish at American Idol in 2023 where she performed a duet with Kylie Minogue on her classic track “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”.
In recent years, Nutsa has lived in both Los Angeles (where she wrote, performed and shot music videos) and Dubai (where she signed a contract with Theater Dubai and performed at Expo) but calls Georgia home.
In 2019 she released her debut album under the name Nutsa22, covering not only Georgian songs but also compositions in English, but it was Gelodebi that became her breakout hit leading her to tour the country with a live band.
