Sweden: The results of the second Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025!
Moments ago, the second Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025 concluded, with two entries advancing directly to the grand final, while one more will move on to the next heat for another chance to secure the golden ticket to the final.
What’s changing this year?
Changes to the format were announced on 22 August 2024. A total of 30 entries will take part in the competition across five heats. Each heat consists of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final. Unlike in the previous edition, only the third-placing song will proceed to a final qualification round at the end of the fifth heat, which will now feature five songs instead of ten. The top two songs in the final qualification will then progress to the final, which will comprise 12 songs. The winner of the final will be determined by the usual 50/50 combination of votes from the public and an international jury.

The Performances:
- Nomi Tales – “Funniest Thing”
- Schlagerz – “Don Juan”
The second performance of the night comes from a group of three female singers named Schlagerz, each standing separately on an elevated prop, performing the song “Don Juan”. The stage was dominated by intense black-and-white and purple LED lights and at the end of the performance, the stage was flooded with striking fireworks.
- Erik Segerstedt – “Show Me What Love Is”
Erik Segerstedt, seated at a piano at first, with the accompaniment of musicians on stage, performed the song “Show Me What Love Is”. The highlight of the performance was his direct connection with the audience in the final part, where he and the musicians walked through the crowd and ended up on a small central stage in the middle of the arena, while confetti flooded the stage.
- Klara Hammarström – “On and On and On”
Tonight’s favorite and a familiar face from Melodifestivalen, Klara Hammarström, treated us to a performance that resembled Greece! The singer, dressed in white, performed the song “On and On and On” while seated on a column, blending ancient Greek elements with a modern choreography.
- Fredrik Lundman – “The Heart of a Swedish Cowboy”
The country entry of the night belongs to Fredrik Lundman, who performed the song “The Heart of a Swedish Cowboy”. The entire stage setup had clear influences from the western theme, which, of course, perfectly matched the style of the song. A beautiful addition was the clock on the floor, with Klara lying down in the middle of it.
- Kaliffa – “Salute”
Last but not least, Kaliffa performed an incredibly uplifting song, “Salute”. Surrounded by dancers, with intense choreography, energy, vibrant LED colors and fires on the stage, the singer managed to close the night in the most electrifying way.
