Slovenia: EMA 2025 Final Takes Place Tonight!

Slovenia is set to select its Eurovision 2025 representative tonight as the grand final of EMA 2025 takes place in just a few hours!

After a two-year break from the traditional EMA format—during which the Slovenian entry was chosen through an internal selectionRTVSLO has brought back its national final, giving artists the chance to compete for a ticket to Basel 2025.


The Finalists

A total of 12 artists will battle it out for the honor of representing Slovenia at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest. Here’s the lineup for tonight’s final:

Voting Process

The winner of EMA 2025 will be determined through two rounds of voting:

Round 1: A jury panel will evaluate all 12 competing entries and select the top two songs.
Round 2: The Slovenian public will have the final say, choosing which of the two finalists will represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

Sweden: The First Heat of Melodifestivalen 2025 Kicks Off Tonight!

One of the most anticipated national finals of the year, Melodifestivalen 2025, officially begins tonight! As the host country of Eurovision 2024, Sweden is aiming for a record-breaking eighth victory, and SVT has promised one of the most exciting Melodifestivalen editions of all time.

For the next six Saturdays, from today until March 8, Sweden’s biggest music competition will dominate the Eurovision season.


New Format for Melodifestivalen 2025

This year, Melodifestivalen introduces a new format:
Five heats will take place, each featuring six artists.
The top two from each heat will qualify directly for the Grand Final on March 9.
The third-place acts from each heat will enter a special vote after the fifth heat, where two additional finalists will be chosen.
A total of 12 artists will compete in the Grand Final for the Swedish Eurovision ticket.

Heats Voting: Results will be decided exclusively by Swedish viewers.
Grand Final Voting: The winner will be determined 50% by public vote and 50% by an international jury, following Eurovision-style voting.

Latvia: Supernova 2025 Begins Tonight!

Another country begins its Eurovision 2025 journey tonight – Latvia! The Supernova 2025 semi-final takes place this evening, and in just a few hours, we will find out which ten artists will advance to the grand final next Saturday.

A total of 19 artists will take the stage tonight, each hoping to secure a spot in the final and move one step closer to representing Latvia at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.

How will the finalists be chosen?
The top 10 acts will be determined through a combination of public voting and a jury panel selected by Latvia’s national broadcaster. The same process will be followed next Saturday to determine the Supernova 2025 winner and Latvia’s Eurovision 2025 representative.

For the fourth consecutive year, Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks will host Supernova!

Ketija Šēnberga – Returning for her eighth time as host (previously in 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024).
Lauris Reiniks – Eurovision 2003 representative (as part of F.L.Y. with “Hello From Mars”) is hosting for the fourth time (previously in 2022, 2023, and 2024).

Lithuania: The Fourth Heat of Eurovizija.LT 2025 Tonight!

The Baltic nation of Lithuania continues its exciting journey tonight in the quest to select its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. Over the next weeks, Eurovizija.LT 2025 will determine the artist and song that will wave Lithuania’s flag on the international stage.

Format

Eurovizija.LT 2025 consists of six shows: five heats and the Grand Final. The results for all six evenings will be determined by a 50/50 split vote between the public and a five-member jury panel.

  • From each heat, two songs will advance to the final based on audience votes and jury deliberation.
  • In the Grand Final, the three highest-scoring acts will proceed to the Super Final, where the public will have the exclusive vote to decide the winner.

The heats will air on January 11, 18, 25, and February 1 and 8, respectively. Notably, like previous editions, the heats are pre-recorded earlier in the week. In the event of a tie, the jury vote will prevail.

The live Grand Final will air on February 15.

Czechia: ADONXS is going to perform his entry in Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025!

ADONXS is going to perform Czechia‘s entry for Eurovision 2025 at Malta’s national competition, the Malta Eurovision Song Contest for 2025!

Czechia’s representative in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest 2025, ADONXS, revealed through a post on his personal Instagram account that he is going to present an acoustic version of his entry, titled “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”, in the first semi-final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 4.

Azerbaijan: The Eurovision 2025 representative to be revealed on 4th of February!

The name of the representative of Azerbaijan at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2025, in Basel, Switzerland, is going to be revealed on 4th of February!

According to the calendar on the website of the Eurovision Song Contest, the announcement of the artists who is going to represent the Caucasian nation at Eurovision 2025, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 4th of February.

The country’s public broadcaster, İctimai Television, received a total of 154 entries, as announced after the submission window closed on September 15. The selection committee has now narrowed it down to three artists most likely to represent Azerbaijan in Basel.

The finalists are:

  • Mehin Hümbətova
  • Nataone
  • Murad Arif

Last year, in Eurovision 2024, Azerbaijan was represented by Fahree and Ilkin Dovlatov with the song “Özünlə apar”. Unfortunately, they failed to qualify for the final, finishing 14th in the first semifinal.

Earlier today, the national broadcaster of Spain, RTVE, published the running order of the final of Benidorm Fest 2025, the song contest through which the kingdom is going to select their entry at the upcoming 2025 Eurovision Song Conest in Basel, Switzerland.
