Czechia: The country’s Head of Press calls Israel an “apartheid regime”!
The controversy regarding the Israeli participation in Eurovision 2024 is still ongoing. In a tweet, Ahmad Halloun, the Head of Press for the Czech delegation in the competition, agreed with the characterization of Israel as an apartheid regime.
According to his profile, Ahmad Halloun is of Lebanese and Venezuelan descent. He retweeted an article from “The Telegraph” about the backlash in the United Kingdom over Olly Alexander, the country’s representative in Eurovision 2024, signing a letter that refers to Israel as an apartheid regime that uses Zionist propaganda. In our previous article, we discussed this issue.
Adopting the aforementioned characterizations used in the letter, the Head of Press for the Czech delegation remarks that Olly Alexander is correct and is using the right terms.
I mean he’s right. He’s just stating what we all have seen and what international organizations have stated. https://t.co/Mg1djWKOyt

It’s important to note, though, that Ahmad Halloun’ opinions are his own and do not represent the Czech national television, as he mentions in his profile.
