Germany: All You Need to Know About the “Chefsache ESC” Grand Finale

On Saturday, March 1, Germany will select its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place in Switzerland. The grand final of “Chefsache ESC” will be broadcast live from Hürth at 8:15 PM (CET) on Das Erste, ARD Mediathek, eurovision.de, and ONE.

The Contestants

After three selection shows, Stefan Raab and the jury have chosen nine acts to compete for the ticket to Basel:

  • Moss Kena
  • JULIKA
  • Benjamin Braatz
  • COSBY
  • Abor & Tynna
  • Feuerschwanz
  • LEONORA
  • LYZA
  • The Great Leslie

The show will be hosted by Barbara Schöneberger, while the warm-up program “Alles Eurovision”, presented by Alina Stiegler and Constantin Zöller, will kick off at 6:00 PM.

Two Rounds in the Final

The competition will unfold in two stages:

  1. Each contestant will perform two songs – a cover and their potential Eurovision entry.
  2. The jury, consisting of Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld, Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst, and Nico Santos, will select five finalists. (Elton will be absent due to personal commitments).
  3. In the final round, the public will have the sole decision via telephone, SMS, and online voting, determining who will represent Germany at Eurovision 2025.
