Estonia: Songs sumbissions for Eesti Laul 2025 begin!
Today Estonia’s national broadcaster, ERR, officially announced the opening of the submission process for Eesti Laul 2025, the music show through which the country selects its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest which in 2025 is going to take place in Basel, Switzerland.
The most significant change to the Estonian show is that it only consists of the final night, in which 16 songs are going to compete and is scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025. The deadline for entries is October 21. Of the 16 songs that are going to compete in Eesti Laul 2025, 15 are going to be selected by a special jury by November 8 and revealed on December 6. From the remaining songs not selected by the jury, one is going to be chosen by the public and revealed no later than January 6, 2025.
Estonia at this year’s Eurovision in Malmö was represented by the groups 5miinust and Puuluup and the song “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) meda” finishing in 20th place in the final.
