Ireland: Samantha Mumba and EMMY as the next artists in Eurosong 2025!

Samantha Mumba and EMMY have been announced as the fourth and fifth of six acts competing to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Earlier today, RTÉ revealed two more artists this morning who are competing in Eurosong 2025, the Irish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Samantha Mumba will be competing with “My Way”, meanwhile EMMY will compete with “Laika Party”.

Samantha Mumba, an Irish singer-songwriter is well known to Irish viewers since her debut single “Gotta Tell You” in 2000 which was high charting in Ireland, New Zealand, UK, Australia and even the US. After a flurry of hits in Ireland, Samantha took a break from music after her last single in 2002 before returning to the music scene in 2013.

EMMY despite being only 24 is no stranger already to Eurovision. A Norwegian singer-songwriter she has already previously attempted to represent her home country of Norway back in 2021 with the song “Witch Woods” that made the final of Melodi Grand Prix that year. She had also previously participated in Junior Melodi Grand Prix back in 2015.

The Irish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place on 7 February, while the remaining artists taking part in Eurosong 2025 will also be announced later in the week.
