The “Veronika” teaser is part of an upcoming special program on RTVSLO, scheduled for Saturday. The song itself, based on the historical figure Veronika Deseniška, will be exclusively in Slovenian.

In a recent interview with RTVSLO, Raiven shared exciting details about her participation. She expressed her commitment to an electronic sound and hinted at the thematic essence of “Veronika”:

“I envision ‘Veronika’ as a symbol of feminism, but not of the stereotypical kind. I wouldn’t want to portray that on stage. However, femininity and grace, definitely!”

Exploring Raiven’s Musical World

Known as Sara Briški Ciman, Raiven is a familiar figure on Slovenian public television, hosting various shows and gracing concerts and music programs. Her recent single, “Ikona,” showcased at RTVSLO’s Popevka 2023 alongside Helena Blagne, garnered significant attention in the country.

Raiven’s professionalism, vocal excellence, captivating stage presence, and close association with RTVS make her an ideal candidate for Eurovision. Having participated in the Slovenian national final, EMA, where she secured notable positions in 2016, 2017, and 2019, Raiven is not a stranger to the Eurovision stage.

As we eagerly await the premiere of “Veronika,” let’s reminisce about Slovenia’s 2023 entry. The country was represented by Joker Out with the song “Carpe Diem,” securing a spot in the Final and finishing in 21st place.
