On Saturday, Tommy Cash won Eesti Laul 2025, Estonia’s national selection for Eurovision 2025, with his song “Espresso Macchiato”. The Estonian rapper won the competition by a landslide, with his quirky entry quickly going viral both in Estonia and internationally.
With its obvious references to Italian culture, including mentions of coffee and Italian expressions in the lyrics, “Espresso Macchiato” quickly captured the attention of the Italian public. As a result, the song has now reached the number one spot on the Top 50 Viral Chart on Italian Spotify.
Moreover, “Espresso Macchiato” currently holds the first place on both the daily Song and Viral Charts in Estonia, accounting just under two million streams in total.
Estonia with Tommy Cash and “Espresso Macchiato” will perform on the first half of the first semi final on May 13.

Past Saturday, Eesti Laul 2025, the Estonian selection for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest was broadcasted live from Tallinn. Sixteen artists took part this year at the Estonian selection process, aiming for the ticket to Basel, while the big favorite, Tommy Cash, eventually emerged victorious.
Eesti Laul 2025 consisted of two rounds of voting. During the first stage, all sixteen participants performed their entries. Following the voting of the jury panel and the public’s vote in equal shares, a three of them advanced to the Superfinal. During the Superfinal, the winner of Eesti Laul 2025 and therefore the Estonian representative in Eurovision 2025 was decided exclusively by the public.

Tommy Cash’s victory saw him receive more than half of the votes in the first round (57.1%) and a share of 83,9% in the Superfinal.

Tonight, Estonia is set to choose its representative for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held this May in Basel, Switzerland. The Baltic nation will once again rely on its beloved national selection format, Eesti Laul, to determine who will fly the Estonian flag in Eurovision 2025.
This year, the Estonian broadcaster has introduced significant changes to Eesti Laul’s structure. Unlike previous editions, the 2025 competition will unfold in a single grand final, skipping the usual semi-finals and diving straight into the big night.
The voting system, however, remains familiar. The final will consist of two voting rounds:
