Italy: The bets for the winner of Sanremo 2025!

Tonight, the 75th Sanremo Festival will bring the curtain down on its 75th edition. After four very successful nights in terms of audience and more, the Festival concludes tonight with its grand finale. The winner will have the right to represent Italy in May in Basel.

The bets
But who do the bets point to as the winner?

A tough battle is expected tonight, at least between five artists. Giorgia is back in first place, while she is closely followed by Olly, who is now in second place. The gap between them is almost nil.

Third place now for Simone Cristicchi, who is still in contention for the win, while Fedez and Achille Lauro, could pull off the upset and steal the victory.

The programme of tonight’s event

Tonight, the fifth and final night of the 75th San Remo Festival is the most crucial of the five, as the 29 contestants are to sing their songs for the third and final time. The first round of voting is exclusively voted by the public.

After the end of the competition, the overall score is to be announced, where the Top 5 will be announced and the Top 5 will “duel” for the winner’s prize. The public’s vote will determine 34% of the result, while the two juries have a weight of 33% each in the final result.

Let’s recall once again the 29 songs that will appear tonight for one last time on the Teatro Ariston stage.

It is worth mentioning that the line-up is to be announced in the next few hours.

Italy: Emis Killa’s entry for Sanremo 2025 released!

A week ago, Emis Killa announced his voluntary withdrawal from the 75th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival. Emis Killa was due to compete with his song “Demoni“, however his involvement with an ongoing police investigation led him to the decision to withdraw.

Today, Emis Killa’s entry for Sanremo 2025 was released on digital platforms.

The reasons behind Emis Killa’s withdrawal

The 35-year-old rapper has recently been placed under investigation in the ongoing “Doppia Curva” inquiry, conducted by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate. This investigation is focused on the criminal activities tied to the groups of the football clubs Inter Milan and AC Milan. Emis Killa, a passionate supporter of AC Milan, was reportedly identified during an incident in which he, along with 14 others, allegedly assaulted a steward. Furthermore, he is connected to several other individuals involved in the investigation.

Additionally, the rapper faces a Daspo (sports ban) imposed by the police commissioner of Milan, which prohibits him from attending sporting events for the next three years. These developments have caused a media storm, as Emis Killa was set to perform at Italy’s most prestigious music event while being under investigation for criminal association.

Italy: Emis Killa withdraws from Sanremo Festival 2025!

The whirlwind of withdrawals has struck once again, and this time, Italy’s turn has arrived. The line-up for the 75th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival will be reduced by one artist, following the voluntary withdrawal of Emis Killa. The artist, who was set to compete with his song “Demoni”, will no longer be part of the competition.

These developments have caused a media storm, as Emis Killa was set to perform at Italy’s most prestigious music event while being under investigation for criminal association.

“I prefer to take a step back”

In his Instagram post, Emis Killa explained his decision to withdraw from the Sanremo competition, stating:

I learned today from the newspapers that I am under investigation (I was only notified of the DASPO, which is an administrative and not criminal act) and if this is true, it will be important that the investigation takes its course and the judiciary can work calmly without controversy or pressure and media circuses.

After 15 years of career I was happy to face my first Sanremo. I thank Carlo Conti for having wanted me but I prefer to take a step back and not participate.

I trust that everything will be resolved as soon as possible, for the best, and I hope to be able to face a Festival in the future where music is central, to be able to bring my song, talk only about that and have fun, as it should have been this year and as it should be for all the Artists who decide to get involved and participate in the competition.
