Latvia: Tautusmeitas Win Supernova 2025 | They Will Represent the Country in Basel

The Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) hosted the grand final of Supernova 2025 tonight to select Dons’ successor for Eurovision 2025.

The Results

After an impressive evening, featuring a special performance by Aminata, Latvia’s Eurovision 2015 representative, it was time for the results announcement. The winner was determined by a combination of public voting and a jury panel.

5th place: Chris Noah – Romance Isn’t Dead

Tautusmeitas will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, aiming to secure a spot in the Grand Final.

Latvia: LTV reveals the participants for Supernova 2025 | Two eurostars among them!

Latvia’s national broadcaster, LTV, has unveiled the twenty artists set to compete in Supernova 2025.

The announcement was made this morning during the Rīta Panorāmā show on LTV1. A total of 20 participants are gearing up for the competition, which will determine Latvia’s representative for Eurovision 2025.

The Supernova 2025 Participants:

  • Katrīna Gupalo – “Scarlett Challenger”
  • KoBra – “Zelts”
  • LEGZDINA & Bel Tempo – “The Water”
  • LUKA – “Stronger”
  • Markus Riva – “Bigger Than This”
  • Marta – “Lovable”
  • PALÚ – “Delusional”
  • Rūta Dūduma – “Chemical”

Notable Eurovision Alumni

Among the lineup are two familiar names who have previously represented Latvia at Eurovision. Citi zēni performed in Turin in 2022, while Justs competed for Latvia in Stockholm in 2016.

Competition Format and Key Dates

Supernova 2025 will feature a semi-final and a final. The semi-final is scheduled for February 1, where a combination of jury and public voting will decide who advances to the final. The final will take place on February 8, using the same voting system to select Latvia’s Eurovision 2025 entry, which will compete in Basel.

The songs competing in Supernova 2025 will be officially revealed on December 4.

Latvia’s Recent Eurovision Success

In Eurovision 2024, Latvia was represented by Dons with his song “Hollow”. For the first time in eight years, the country reached the Grand Final, where they finished in 16th place with a total of 64 points.
