Georgia: With Nutsa Buzaladze to Malmö!

One of the countries for which so far we did not have any information about its participation in Eurovision 2024 is Georgia. But now it seems that a decision has been made and a popular female performer will represent the Caucasian country in Malmö!

Nutsa Buzaladze will be the one to fly the Georgian flag to Malmö. Nutsa Buzaladze is an American based artist who has rose to fame since her American Idol participation in 2023.

Georgia’s decision

Georgia has qualified for the Eurovision final since 2016, and despite the optimistic forecasts that existed last year for Iru, it did not manage to get past the semi-final this time either.

The public television of Georgia believes that with this year’s selection it will be in the final, even claiming a very good position. It is a flawless voice, an amazing professional, which perfectly fits the requirements of a TV project like Eurovision and can stand out.

As you understand, its selection was made by direct assignment, since no other method could have been chosen at the point in time we are in now.

With interest, of course, we now await the official announcements regarding the song with which Nutsa will try to bring Georgia back to the final of the contest, eight years after its last appearance in it, when Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz they took 20th place with Midnight Gold.

Her song is expected to be released in the coming weeks!

Who is Nutsa Buzaladze?

The international songstress from Tbilisi has participated in (and won) many different song contests over her career, including a top 12 finish at American Idol in 2023 where she performed a duet with Kylie Minogue on her classic track “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”.

In recent years, Nutsa has lived in both Los Angeles (where she wrote, performed and shot music videos) and Dubai (where she signed a contract with Theater Dubai and performed at Expo) but calls Georgia home.

In 2019 she released her debut album under the name Nutsa22, covering not only Georgian songs but also compositions in English, but it was Gelodebi that became her breakout hit leading her to tour the country with a live band.
