Switzerland: Submission period opens for Eurovision 2023!

Switzerland has already announced that it will select its entry for Eurovision 2023 through an internal selection. Today, the German-speaking public broadcaster SRF, published the rules of the process, while it also opened the submission period for entries.

The process will be the same as since 2019, which have proven to be successful for the country scoring two top-5 results.

As in previous years there will be several stages in the selection. At all stages, entries will be evaluated by two jury panels. The first jury will be consisted of 100 Swiss viewers. The second jury will be consisted of 20 international music professionals, who have already been members of their countries’ Eurovision jury panels. Each jury will account for 50% of the total score.

Submissions on the official website of the broadcaster can be made from the 25th of August until the 8th of September, while there are no limitations as with the language of the songs and the country of origin of the artists.

Switzerland was represented in Eurovision 2022 by Marius Bear with the song Boys Do Cry, coming 17th in the Grand Final.
