Poland: Krystian Ochman is representing the country in Eurovision 2022!

The grand final of Tu bije serce Europy (“The heart of Europe beats here”), the national final of Poland, has just been completed, with the country choosing Krystian Ochman and River as the winner and therefore their representative at Eurovision 2022 in Turin.

The show took place in TVP Studio 5 in the city of Warsaw. The Presenters of Tu bije serce Europy were  Rafał Brzozowski, Ida Nowakowska, Małgorzata Tomaszewska and in the green room were Aleksander Sikora and Marek Sierocki.

The ten candidates of the night were:

The voting

A total of ten finalists competed in the grand final, claiming the ticket to Turin. After the first round, only three of them got the chance to compete for the Superfinal.

A combination of the votes of the jury (50%) and the audience (50%) gave the artists the chance to go to the next part of the final. The first three that won the public and jury voting, claimed the victory for the second round. The result of the second round were based solely on public vote.

Results

In the first round, the three acts that managed to get to ticket to the secong round are Ochman, Daria and Unmute. The other songs ranked as below:

In the second round it all depends on the televoting and the winner was Krystian Ochman with the song River with 51% of the votes, Daria was second with 39% and Unmute were third with 10%.

Poland will be competing in the second semi-final and the second half of the show.

Poland: Tu bije serce Europy final tonight!

Another country that chooses tonight the artist who will represent it in Turin, is Poland. Live from TVP studios in Warsaw, Eurofans everywhere will be able to watch the grand final of Tu bije serce Europy.

Ten artists will compete for the victory and the ticket for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. The artists who will participate in the polish national final are:

The song and artist who will represent Poland in Turin will emerge – initially – from a combination of the votes of the jury (50%) and the audience (50%). The first three who will emerge from the public and jury voting, will claim the victory in the second round. The result of the second round will be based solely on the public vote.

Presenters of Tu bije serce Europy will be last year’s Polish representative at Eurovision 2021, Rafał Brzozowski, Ida Nowakowska and Małgorzata Tomaszewska.

Poland: The jury members of Tu bije serce Europy 2022!

The five-member jury of Poland’s national final for Eurovision 2022, Tu bije serce Europy, was announced today by TVP2. The members are the following:

  • Halina Frąckowiak: famous singer who has won many awards in Poland and abroad. Among her most famous works are Bądź gotowy dziś do drogi and Papierowy księżyc.
  • Marek Sierocki: journalist and presenter, with a long relationship with TVP. He led the selection of the Polish participant in Junion Eurovision 2021, while he has also been a commentator for both Eurovision and Junior Eurovision.
  • Marcin Kusy: radio presenter, member of the jury for the preselection of the Polish participant for Junior Eurovision 2016.
  • Szymon Orłowski: musician, composer and president of the LOFT ART Association for the Promotion of Culture and Art in Poland.
  • Krystian Kuczkowski: Documentary director and program director of TVP.

The song and the artist who will represent Poland in Turin will be selected by a combination of the votes of the jury (50%) and the audience (50%). In case of a tie, priority will be given to the televote.

Poland’s representative in last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Rafał Brzozowski, will be the presenter of the national final, which will take place on February 19th.
