Poland: Krystian Ochman is representing the country in Eurovision 2022!
The grand final of Tu bije serce Europy (“The heart of Europe beats here”), the national final of Poland, has just been completed, with the country choosing Krystian Ochman and River as the winner and therefore their representative at Eurovision 2022 in Turin.
The show took place in TVP Studio 5 in the city of Warsaw. The Presenters of Tu bije serce Europy were Rafał Brzozowski, Ida Nowakowska, Małgorzata Tomaszewska and in the green room were Aleksander Sikora and Marek Sierocki.
The finalists
The ten candidates of the night were:
- Kuba Szmajkowski – “Lovesick“
- Ania Byrcyn – “Dokąd“
- Siostry Szlachta – “Drogowskazy”
- Lidia Kopania – “Why Does It Hurt?”
- Karolina Stanisławczyk & Toro Chica – “Move”
- Karolina Lizer – “Czysta Woda”
- Unmute – “Głośniej Niż Decybele“
- Emilia Dębska (Mila) – “All I Need”
- Krystian Ochman – “River”
- Daria – “Paranoia”
The voting
A total of ten finalists competed in the grand final, claiming the ticket to Turin. After the first round, only three of them got the chance to compete for the Superfinal.
A combination of the votes of the jury (50%) and the audience (50%) gave the artists the chance to go to the next part of the final. The first three that won the public and jury voting, claimed the victory for the second round. The result of the second round were based solely on public vote.
Results
In the first round, the three acts that managed to get to ticket to the secong round are Ochman, Daria and Unmute. The other songs ranked as below:

In the second round it all depends on the televoting and the winner was Krystian Ochman with the song River with 51% of the votes, Daria was second with 39% and Unmute were third with 10%.
Poland will be competing in the second semi-final and the second half of the show.
