Denmark: Interview with Confessions | Hallelujah and the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022! (Video)

Following their decision to participate in this year’s Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix , Confessions speaks exclusively to EurovisionFun and Apostolos Bogianno and Apostolis Matami.

The Confessions are among the eight finalists in the Danish national final for Eurovision 2022, and will try to represent their country with the song “Hallelujah”.

We have been working hard for our appearance for the last few days and we are really very excited. “Hallelujah” refers to how grateful we are for someone in our lives when we go through a difficult period where we feel alone, something we have all experienced over the years. When you are out of the way and you need someone to talk to and finally find joy in your life again. Although the song was not written for the competition from the beginning, we later realized that it would be a perfect choice for the DMGP and consequently for Eurovision.

Regarding his stage presentation of the song in the national final, they themselves state that:

We can not say much yet. It will be a party. We want to become one with the audience, however in the presentation there is a surprise that for the time being will remain secret.

Although they like all the songs from DMGP 2022, this one by Fuld Effekt stands out.

Their favorite Danish participations are those of Emmelie de Forest (2013) and Olsen Brothers (2000) while from the competition in general they single out the participation of Loreen (Sweden 2012) which they would choose in case they made a collaboration with a Eurostar.

Inspired by many artists such as Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars, they consider it an honor to be able to raise the Danish flag in Turin.

Shortly before the end of the interview, Confessions gave us a part of their participation head on.
