Germany: Ralph Siegel wants to return to Eurovision!

German songwriter Ralph Siegel, who has 25 appearances at Eurovision under his belt—including the 1982 contest’s winning entry, “Ein bisschen Frieden”—has announced his intention to compete again in 2024.

More specifically, he mentioned that he has composed a song for Aileen Sager, which has been submitted to the German broadcaster, in order to claim the representation of the country.

“My dream is to win for Germany again. I’m working hard on that, standing in the studio day and night.”

Ralph Siegel is making his first try at participating in the competition in five years. His last entry was “Spirit of the night”, with which Valentina Monetta and Jimmie Wilson represented San Marino at Eurovision 2017, finishing in last place in the semi-final.
