Germany: A lyric of “Always On The Run” has to be modified!
Isaak, the winner of the German national selection for Eurovision 2024, shall change a lyric on his entry “Always On The Run“, in order for it to be eligible for the contest.
Specifically, the organizers have already warned Isaak that the following lyrics in the first verse need to be changed:
No one gives a shit about what’s soon to come.
The word “shit” is where the problem arises and what must change. That’s why it is against the competition rules to include cursing or offensive words in an entry. When it comes to Eurovision, peace, joy and unity come first, the organizers say. Hence, Isaak is aware of this and has decided to omit the specific word from “Always On The Run“, mentioning:
We thought about it and we censored it. It was no problem at all.
We remind you that Isaak will represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with his entry “Always On The Run“. Germany, as a member of the big-five, will automatically qualify to the Grand Final of May 11 and the German audience will cast their votes on the first semi-final.
