Australia: Listen to Sheppard’s song submitted for Eurovision 2024!

The song “Edge of the Earth”, with which the band Sheppard intended to represent Australia at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, was released yesterday.

The Eurofans are familiar with the band, having previously competed in the 2019 Australian national final, finishing in third place behind Kate Miller-Heidke and this year’s representatives Electric Fields.

According to the website Aussievision, the song was submitted to the country’s public broadcaster, aiming to represent Australia this year:

Although the song is longer than three minutes, the band confirms that they had indeed submitted it to SBS.

“This was the song they submitted to compete this year. It’s their second tilt after “On My Way” and while it wasn’t to be for Eurovision, they have chosen it to kick start their 2024 slate of singles.”

What do you think of Sheppard’s song? Do you think it would have had a better luck than Electric Fields?

We remind you that the representatives of Australia, after an internal selection, are Electric Fields, with the song “One Milkali (One Blood)” and they are going to compete in the second half of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024 on May 7:
